Re: Do Not Contact List/Visibility

I am in the same boat, brother. Ward members should be able to opt out LCR communication and the ward clerk should have the ability to take care of this for those who are not in contact with the church that don't want contact.

Site is copyright Intellectual Reserve

Does it matter who Tyler Ames is? It looks like the web site is an official church site. Can you verify this? I typed new.mormon.org and was taken to: http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/new-mormon-org If it is not official, then this is probably a phishing scam and should be shut down immediately.

Both screens are helpful.

Brother Anderson, As a membership clerk, I use the screens you show when I want to find out if the organization is set up correctly in MLS. I print that screen to go over the organization with the organization head. This is a very useful function to me, as organization members can change things in M...

Thank you, Brother Brown. We did print the sheets and sign them at audit time, it just didn't feel complete without the ability to click a button. ;)

Just completed audit

I am a ward membership clerk. We just completed our audit but there was no "save" button at the end like I am used to with MLS. In fact, all I could do was close the audit. How do we show it completed?

Thank you both. The LDSql project sounds promising for the future. However, I want other ward members (Bishopric, Sunday School, Ward Mission Leader, etc)to be able to access these reports in real time. For now, I think for now I'll go with the, two custom reports option and write directions in the ...

Custom Reports - Logic Update

I see that this thread is a couple of years old but the issue still remains. MLS tracks mission language and I have created a custom field where we track other foreign languages spoken by our ward members. This field is named, "Foreign Language(s) (List)." I want to run a report that checks both att...

Alternative way to track languages

The customer member fields can also be used to track foreign language. Create a new field by selecting:
MLS>System Options>Members>Custom Fields>Add and setting the value type to "string"
You may then run a custom report based on this value. This field will need to be collected and ...

Talents and Interests can be tracked in MLS

I was thinking more towards something like reactivation or welfare efforts--something that is sensitive in nature but needs to be accessible (anywhere; no restrictions on time accessed or location) by ward leadership. My bishop now want's to get a list of all the talents and skills available in the...

Successfully using Talents & Interests at a ward level

I began working with the custom talents and interests area of MLS a number of months ago in my ward. We can now print reports in MLS that show us members and their talents/interests/resources. Here's what I did: 1. I began with this thread and customized one of the questionnaires. My version of that...
