Re: Sharing living individuals on FamilySearch

Thanks for the info on Ancestry, but it sure would be nice to just be able to have a similar sharing feature on FamilySearch, that way I only have to maintain one copy of the family tree. Or is it better to use Ancestry as the sole source of my family tree and abandon FamilySearch? That doesn’t make...

Re: Sharing living individuals on FamilySearch

I figured I would bring up this topic again. Has there been any change since a year or more ago? It would be so nice to be able to share my family tree (including the living) with my family. My sister for example. I know I can ask her to create an account, but so much work she’d have to do to add al...

Re: LCR - Send message function - texting

I agree with the concerns expressed here. It would be great to have a platform for everyone in our church to communicate with. I was thinking of introducing something like Slack for our Ward, however I would much prefer seeing a comprehensive communication tool built into the Church apps and website...

Mass Notifications texts, emails, etc.

It seems like a standardized mass notification system should be created where any member can easily send out mass messages and the receiving members can control their notification preferences through the app. Maybe this could be part of the existing LDS Tools app, or perhaps our Church could partner...

Re: Sharing living individuals on FamilySearch

I understand the privacy and complexity, but I wonder what Ron was talking about in the video above then?

Sharing living individuals on FamilySearch

There was a YouTube video posted a couple years ago by Ron Tanner here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adx0pET1IMQ that described a feature coming where the "living" could be shared. Has this come out yet, or does anyone have any information on it? As I have used FamilySearch for several y...

Re: Streaming General Conference

Great. This is good news. I tested other live streams with my Google Chromecast and it seems to work fine, however I don't think live streams work on my Sony Blu-Ray player. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this to work...or if it can?

Streaming General Conference

Is it now possible to watch General Conference or BYU Channel live on Youtube? This page has a link to General Confernece Youtube Channel, and I also read another article that YouTube is starting to support Live Streaming so I was curious if that was the case. I just got a new Sony Blu-Ray Player (w...
