Re: Wireless/AirPrint printing from iOS and android devices

Thanks for the info on Win 10. That will give me even more incentive to upgrade all the clerk computers to Win 10 as soon as possible. The majority of our stakes clerk printers are networkable - even though they aren't connected that way today - so it sounds like a viable solution that I can try. Th...

Re: Wireless/AirPrint printing from iOS and android devices

Great comments everyone. I think what I really want to do is use something like the Lantronix xPrint server to allows network printers to be seen by iOS devices. However, those things are about twice the price as they were about 18 months ago. I can't justify spending that much on a function that I ...

Re: Wireless/AirPrint printing from iOS and android devices

Has anyone tried to install the AirPrint service for windows on their clerk's computer? The provided printers do not have AirPrint available through the device and I'm looking at this as a possible solution for my stake. Any suggestions? This is exactly what I'm trying to do. The clerk printers we ...

Re: Dedicated Receive Site Equipment

I wonder if the new Intel Compute Sticks would work. If so it would make for an extremely easy setup. Just plug the Compute Stick in to an HDMI port on the projector/monitor. There are still a few logistical issues like wanting a hard wired connection instead of wireless and ensuring a Bluetooth key...

Re: VidiU backorder

Given the situation (a visit by higher authorities), you might call CHQ and see if there's a package they can send for this event. Then you can wait and do your stake solution with less pressure. My Area Seventy says he has visited conferences with GAs as presiding authority, and he has never seen ...

Re: Sony EVI-D100

Thanks for the details, michaelfish. You're comments are helpful. I've been looking for good, used D70's for a day or two and haven't come up with any options for around $150. I'd be more than happy to use a used D70 if I can find it for $150. Anyone have any specific outlets besides eBay? (eBay's f...

Sony EVI-D100

Has any tried to use a Sony EVI-D100? My concerns are: 1. Zoom - it has a 10x zoom compared to the 18x on the D70. I want to still get the closeup shots of the speaker without using the digital zoom. 2. Does the Control software created by CWShop work on the D100? Which really means are the D70 and ...

Re: Calendar notification from another ward/stake

There are no specific people with access rights only callings. The brother did have the calling but since his records were moved out of the ward the calling should have been removed, too. If this is a known bug it seems like there could be some security concerns here. Only members of the ward should...

Calendar notification from another ward/stake

Something odd happened today and I thought I'd try to explain it here to see how it might have happened. If this is part of another thread, I apologize. I only looked quickly at the top page of topics before deciding to post. Here's the situation. This morning I received an email notification about ...

Sync test

I found this thread when looking for a solution to my calendar syncing problem so thought I should check how the gospel library was syncing for me. Here's my results: 1. Checked the iPad and things looked to be syncing correctly. Last sync was earlier today when I used the scriptures in church. 2. C...
