Re: Contact Previous Bishop
The biggest hassle is getting the bishops to talk This is our concern as well. Some bishops are hard to contact due to work or travel. A previous leader of mine simply would not answer his phone if he didn't already have the number programmed into the phone or caller ID showed it was someone he kne...

Re: Contact Previous Bishop
After calling the Global Support Center, there is still no way to set up the "Contact Prior Leader" in advance before another unit requests the records. They informed me to place a move restriction, which I did, but that's an inefficient workaround because it prevents the membership record...

Re: We're out of deposit slips - how can we make the deposit?
Almost forgot to post the outcome. I posted this on a Sunday so the bank was obviously closed. I called to order new deposit slips the next day and confirmed that using a deposit slip from the bank will work. Use the account number printed on the pink copies of the deposit slip used for previous wee...

We're out of deposit slips - how can we make the deposit?
We used all of our deposit slips and mistakenly thought there was another book of them in the cabinet drawer. Surprise, there wasn't another deposit slip book. Is there a way to print them from MLS or LCR? Or, do we just hold the deposit until we can order new deposit slips and they are delivered? I...

I agree with MLH that neither the clerk or secretary have any rank, they each have important but separate responsibilities to support the Bishop and counselors that have nothing to do with leadership. Neither calling has inspirational rights or duties to guide and direct an auxiliary, quorum or clas...

- Topic: Does unit Home Teaching reporting get transmitted to the Stake in MLS?

That's what I thought but wanted to be sure. It doesn't make sense that the Stake would need to know specifically who was getting home taught and/or who was reported as completing their home teaching, but having the total numbers by unit is sufficient. Our Stake continues to have people call the EQ ...

Does unit Home Teaching reporting get transmitted to the Stake in MLS?
When a unit enters the home teaching and visiting teaching on a monthly basis, is that information sent to the Stake when the unit does a send and receive? I always thought at least the aggregate count of total households visited would get sent to the Stake. Can any of you Stake Clerks confirm? I've...

We go low tech and list it in the weekly bulletin the two or three weeks before the 4th week. We list the full five/six month TFOT schedule on the bottom of Branch Council agendas so all the leadership is on the same schedule. Our stake lists the RS/Priesthood lesson schedule on the website so we ca...
