Re: Simultaneous Language Interpretation for Stake Conference Webcast
It would help to know a little more about your current webcasting setup. In another thread i mentioned that my setup uses a jtech encoder device to broadcast the stream to the churches webcast portal. The jtech encoder has the ability to simultaneously push a MPEG Transport Stream of the feed to the...

Re: Simple Fully Automated worship webcast with Meetinghouse Webcast
Did you make sure to set the jtech to collect a DHCP address? It defaults to a static IP address.
Do you have network connection (blinking green and orange lights on the network connection)?

Stake Conference Broadcast
Hi, I just finished my first virtual stake conference broadcast and thought I'd share the experience. I got a lot of cool ideas from this forum. Because our state is in a strict lockdown right now, we only had about 20 people in attendance at the stake center (the speakers and limited guests). All t...

Re: Church Webcast Portal Feature question
Just set the event to "private" when you create it. Note: Editing an event may change the upload link and/or the meeting code. Be sure to check that after making any changes. The stake events list shows all public and private events. Setting an event to “private” still shows it in the lis...

Re: Dish Removal and streaming device question
I guess this means the different modulators in our a/v rack are now unnecessary... The operative word being "different". I'm hard pressed to think of a use for multiple modulators. But I'd want at least one, and perhaps a spare for transmitting stake conference to the different rooms. Tha...

Church Webcast Portal Feature question
If I schedule a webcast, it shows up in the list of “Events” page for my stake found at “mywebcast.churchofjesuschrist.org”. Am I the only one who would like to “hide” events from being on that list? At the least, I would like the option to hide my test events. We also have stake conference coming u...

Re: Church Webcasts using OBS
I have been playing around with closed captions in OBS (captions which are embedded into the stream and can be toggled by the user in the video player client/YouTube). It looks like the video player client the church uses on their webcast platform does not have this option to display captions. So I ...

Re: Church Webcast - Weekly Recurring Event & Other Updates
How do recurring events handle attendance? I found out my own answer. They don't handle attendance at all. The recurring event stays "up top" and nothing moves to the "completed events". That attendance info with names is vital to our bishoprics. For this reason, recurring event...
