Our stake is seeing an issue start to come up where sisters are being called by the Bishops as "Ward Communication Specialists" to expressly send out announcements to members ( vision of a Digital Bulletin perhaps), as the church has directed units to reduce over the pulpit announcements w...

Re: MLS Error 1: Unable to Transmit
There is another thread I just saw that popped up that said the following: "We just had this happen to us today in our stake (Layton South Stake). I contacted the Global Support Center and was told that it is a known issue system wide. I was told today to just have the ward make the deposit and...

I would wonder about the wisdom of such a purchase. We expect class participants to bring their devices, because they will take them back home to do the work anyway. I have also expressed concern, but they feel that there are still members who don't have a portable computing device, and in 2014 the...

Re: Bishopric Schedule Management
As a ward executive secretary in the past I used a Google Spreadsheet for each month, than shared it out to the Bishopric -- that worked pretty well, but last year I was called into the stake as an executive secretary, and we have been using Google Calendars, It has been a lot better in my opinion. ...

Re: Spreadsheet for tracking sacrament meeting talks/prayers
Our ward uses a pretty simple google doc spreadsheet. We've used it for three years, each year we create a new tab. it's easy to search a name to see if they prayed or spoke recently in sacrament meeting. We share the doc with all Bishopric members, Ward Music chairman, ward bulletin person, etc. th...

Re: Temple Recommend Status in Reports
From the Stake position, We are seeing this on the reports for all of our wards in our stake. My concern is that it's giving a false sense of reality to Bishop's and Ward Councils, especially since our stake has a goal to increase number of endowed members with recommends. I'd love for this bug fix ...

New Stake . . . New Patriarch
So our new stake is just over a month old, and we recently called a new patriarch. What is the process for getting him Access to the Online Recommendation System for Patriarchal Blessings? He is Active in MLS and on the CDOL, but when he goes to https://apps.lds.org/pbsubmit/ it says "Access to...
