Priorities
The current implementation of the LUWS aimed to accomplish alot. Just look at what the original designers tried to pack into it, everything from a building reservation system, to calendaring, to email groups. Maybe they tried to pack in too much. Let's forget for a minute about all talk of new featu...

Unfortunately, MLS doesn't offer an easy way to do this. The ability to store individual phone numbers and individual email addresses for members of the same household is a long standing bug/feature request (3.5+ years), and I've not heard an ETA for a fix. It's been a stumbling block for several wa...

When we have a definitive list, I'll see if I can get it published. Yes, please. Please post a spec for the next versions of MLS and LUWS. Of anyone, the Church developers must be the most tired of hearing the same old bugs and feature requests repeated over and over again for the past three years ...

MLS Custom Report
Sounds like a better job for MLS. 1) Create a "Custom Member Field" in MLS that contains the date the member last spoke. 2) Create a "Custom Report" in MLS containing this custom field and any others you like. 3) If you want it in CSV, select a field in the custom report and sele...

So what is the best way to take advantage of existing technologies (OSS and commercial) to create an experience that meets the widest degree of needs but still protects the personal information of members and confidential Church data? A suggestion you've probably considered... Without completely op...

Thanks Tom. We'll hold you to this;) This and other forums show that there is interest and talent to fill the gap. In the meantime, can anything be done to increase the priority of support for non-household phone numbers and shared email addresses to critical or bug , so they could fall under the cu...

Expanding Available Resources
Thanks for the helpful explanation. You probably went over things like this at the Tech Talks, but alas, many of us are out-of-state/country. What can be done to increase the resources available to the Church on non-open-source projects like MLS and LUWS, allowing continual development between major...

Two Features Needed Before LUWS v2.0
I can't help but notice that some minor updates sneak into MLS and Unit Websites, namely very useful CSV, vCard, iCal, vCal downloads and case-sensitive member names. Thanks to Pete W. and whomever else at the Church may be responsible for making these happen. Can I rehash what I might call two crit...
