Portal.ldswebcast.org will be redirected to webcast.churchofjesuschrist.org for several months.
(The original portal url was left in the docs because at the time of doc creation, it was unknown what the new url would be. So it was left that way knowing it would be redirected to the new.)

Re: Can you reuse a test event?
Mikerowaved is correct. On a test event, you can edit the event (start time, name, add locations, etc.) all you wish before the server starts to come up. After that, those items are set. You can, however, make any changes you need to with the encoder as many times as you want/need with the event run...

Re: Test event change
There is a tabernacle choir stream that plays when the encoder is not running.
It will play before the event if the receive site connects before the event pre-buffer starts, during the pre-buffer, and during the event if the encoder is not running.

Test event change
With the latest push to production, the following test events have been eliminated: Receive Test, Encode Test, Connectivity Tests. All of these tests can be performed with the Full Test event. So to make things simpleir, they have been eliminated. (For all those who have any of the removed test even...

Re: Vidiu firmware versions
The latest version of the Teradek firmware is fine to use. We discovered that Teradek changed the way they give us stats. This makes the stats page a little hard to read and understand what is exactly going on. We are currently in the process of making the stats page easier to read and use. But in a...

Re: Data Required for Stake Broadcast
I guess it depends on what you are going to encode your stream at. If you encode at a higher rate such as 2 Megs, then you will be using more data for that stream. If you are going to encode at a lower rate such as 700k, then you are going to use less data. Also, at your receive site, you can set th...

Re: Ready to smash the Teradek Vidiu; alternatives?
There was just a new firmware version that came out, version 3.0.5. Please trying loading this version on the VidiU and see if it corrects the Web interface issues that you've been seeing. We are also trying it here in the labs.

Re: Receiving Browser
I agree the information on the web needs to be fixed. Good catch there Mikerowaved. I'll pass on that information to the powers that control that web page. The problem is that the browsers keep changing so fast that its hard to keep the latest information on them up to date. The problem with Firefox...

Re: Can't setup 2 receive PC's in 1 building?
One more way to consider is using the event code. A member of the stake would just have to login to the system and in the home page use the event code to get the event. Using this way would make that particular receive location be considered a non-configured location under the person who logged in a...
