Re: Hyperlink in Calendar Description

@CrockettDR, yep, thank you for pointing out this new-ish URL support feature. I can confirm adding URL's to calendar events [Details] field works for complex Zoom, Google-Meet and webcast URL's in standard desktop browsers . https://drive.google.com/file/d/16bHDmSzZ9o9FQqsRcA7zEBgiNS2wCuGm/view?usp...

Re: Link to Ward Sacrament Stream

This post is the closest I've seen to instructions for putting URLs into the calendar. Thank you, sir! I can confirm URL's work as noted by CrockettDR for standard desktop browsers. I'll repost my question to the thread with CrockettDR, if the URL capability in the [Details] field can be supported ...

Re: Link to Ward Sacrament Stream

One thing worth pointing out is that the calendar now allows web links. I investigated how to add web links in calendar events. I figured out the [Description] field in events converts text based URL's to a clickable link in a standard desktop browser. 2 limitations I am trying to figure out, if an...

Re: Link to Ward Sacrament Stream

If I've read your post correctly, I think what he's asking for is a link on the churchofjesuschrist.org main page that will take each member to their stake's webcast page. It would be there right along with the link to the Directory and Calendar. The idea is to make it easy for each member to find ...

Re: Automated - New & Returning Member Progress (NMRP) report

I don't disagree with church policy about storing personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive personal information (SPI) on cloud storage. From the 100's of church members that have reached out to me over the last 2.5 years since this NRMP google sheet template was published, lds.org dev...

Re: Automated - New & Returning Member Progress (NMRP) report

I know this post is old but the Google App Script enabled [NRMP] spreadsheet has many users. I added an often requested feature. Make a new (as of 22May2017) copy of the [NRMP Template]. Then enter the ward/branch name and stake/district name once on the [Ward Council View] tab. In subsequent report...

Re: Automated - New & Returning Member Progress (NMRP) report

I am impressed by how many folks have found this NRMP google form useful in your local units. The questions have been few but persistent about how to gain access and use. I created a brief video to help those unfamiliar with google form usage: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwaI40ia50pFbFRHZnY3WX...

Re: Automated - New & Returning Member Progress (NMRP) report

I am the author and agreed with ALL of the posts that essentially fell into 2 buckets: 'for' or 'against' using cloud storage (outside of lds.org) to accelerate the work. As noted by <russellhltn>, my answer can't be a clear 'yes' or 'no', it's a "depends". The decision, when I read all av...

Scouting - Stake Troop, Patrols in Wards/Branches

For Stakes with units that have sparse numbers of YM (i.e. <5)... I have heard rumors of Stake's maintaining "the" troop charter and individual units running patrols. The ideas being to: 1. Reduce the burden of scout organization staffing in the units 2. Improve the quality of the overall ...
