Deceased child on IOS

We have a couple in our ward who had a child 20 years ago but he died within a few months. He does not show up in the IOS, but my Stake Clerk said he should. The logical step is to add the child then enter the information for when he died. However, since he would be over 8 now I can't add the record...

Wife as head of household

We have a complicated situation in our ward. I don't want to get into the details, but we had a family where the spouse was the head of the household and the husband wasn't a member. Then we thought the husband was a member, so we made him the head of household, but it turns out he's not. Plus, ther...

 As long as the parent's are members, I'd expect that information to come from their records and not editable from the child's information. I had originally forgotten this but I remembered that he's a convert and his parents are not members and did not have record numbers. As I said, his ...

I believe the CHI outlines the procedure. But, from memory, the the choice of: - Find his records. - Find his baptismal certificate - Find witnesses to his baptism - Re-baptize him. I'm not sure what happens if he was never confirmed. Okay, thanks. I imagine this might be even more appropriate to t...

Non-member record for someone who IS a member

We have a family in our ward in which the wife and kids are active but the husband rarely attends church. He is listed as the spouse of the wife in MLS (record number and birth date) and she was the head of the household. However, it recently came to my attention that he had been baptized. I tried r...

How to update a record not in my ward?

In the course of verifying the accuracy of a member's records I gave him his IOS to look over. The only change he had was for his parents, the birth year was wrong. At least one of the parents is deceased (maybe both, I have to find out) and they didn't live in our ward. How do I go about trying to ...

Grayed out email addresses

I've noticed that a family in our ward has two email addresses listed (one for the husband one for the wife) in the Administrator's page. However, they are both a lighter shade of gray than other members email addresses and do not show up in the general Membership Directory. Does anyone know why thi...

Missing Members

We have a new couple that recently moved into our ward. We received the records about a week ago, but I've noticed something odd. They do not show up on the Membership Directory for our website. However, when I download the csv file from the website they are there. I've looked at the Administrator's...
