Re: MLS 3.5 and Scout Committee
We are having the same problem with custom scout callings. We can't add females to custom scout callings because scouting is in the YM organization. Please fix it. Thanks.

ancestors' photos, journals and diaries
The same problems that are mentioned about photos (who has it? where is it? how do we find it?) exist with diaries and journals. I have worked on a site that addresses that issue (the BYU Historic Journals Project at http://journals.byu.edu ). The site deals primarily with diaries and journals, but ...

re: Relationship with BYU's HBL Library
Sorry for the late response, I just now saw your message. There is currently no formal tie-in between the two sites, but users of the Historic Journals site can add references to journals/histories/etc. in external collections (including the HBLL collections). For example, for "Remember Who You...

Thanks for the suggestion. I have changed it to "new FamilySearch" to avoid confusion.

BYU Historic Journals project
If anyone is interested, we've gone public beta with a project at BYU where people can contribute information about the existence/location of their ancestors' journals (and even upload scanned images of journals if they choose), as well as tag who is written about in the journals. When users log in ...

PersonId in advanced possible matches
It would also be nice if when the "advanced possible duplicates search" is selected, the option to "Search by Number" were given, just as it is given in the regular search. I have seen cases where I contribute a gedcom, and (by looking at the list of people in my contributed gedc...

history
That makes sense... the sustaining list only has things like quorum/auxilliary/class presidencies, etc. instead of all ward callings. Is there a need for knowing who was in a particular calling several years ago (other than curiosity) that isn't on the sustaining sheets? If so, then maybe this is so...

official ward history has callings in it
The Ward Historian (or the ward clerk who is in charge of keeping the official ward history if there is no Ward Historian) is supposed to get a copy of the sustaining list that was read at Ward Conference. They are supposed to include that sustaining list as a part of the official ward history, whic...

There are plenty to translate
There are literally tens of thousands of people in the Church who speak both English and Spanish well enough to translate. Just in my own ward here at BYU, we have had several completely bilingual people (Hispanic or part-Hispanic), not to mention dozens of English speakers who have served Spanish-s...

MLS sustaining sheet
We had ward conference a few weeks ago and the changes to the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve were not up to date on the sustaining sheet printed from MLS. I'm not the one who printed it, so I don't know if that is something that the clerk could have edited at the local level or if it ...
