inside knowledge

Well, I've used the first two, and am the person that wrote the 3rd one, and it was based on the last one. With that close knowledge, and from the point of view of someone who cared enough about the topic to spend a day or two's worth of work making a program that would generate maps, the only one w...

What setup do you use on XBMC? I tried Navi-X but that just freezes for me, and I couldn't see anything else that might do it.

geo mapping tool

I had a go at making a mapping tool a year or two ago as well (html&javascript based, using google for geocoding, but output to kml, so still have to use google earth.) But I'd now recommend this newer Adobe Air based app: http://hpaulsen.com/hpaulsen.com/WardMap.html The printing side of things sti...

Thanks, this was just the type of thing I was wanting (I think we may have already got off on the wrong track with Stake PPI type stuff pushed down to the ward calendars too, I was wondering about that.)

Keep it coming! :D

Getting started with a brand new site

Here in New Zealand our wait is finally over, and we've recently been given access to LUWS (some stakes in Australia have also trialled it, if you want it in either country ask your Stake Pres to contact MSR.) I've set up our stake website, and my ward's website, and in a couple of days will be givi...

Would it be possible to get a copy of any of your notes or documents? (by PM if you don't want them too public.) Here in New Zealand we just got approved for access to LUWS in the last week, and I've spent the weekend playing around with the sites. I'm due to give a presentation to our Stake's Bisho...

I think it always comes back to needing to get the information from people, and once you've got it, MLS is the best place to store it - otherwise you'll probably be having to get it all over again a year or two later. Do any of you have suggestions for doing this? (For example: an ideal format for t...

I've been following news of LUWS outside North America closely for a year or two, and for what its worth, New Zealand has just (as of yesterday) been authorised for all stakes to use, so I guess the existing LUWS is getting rolled out slowly.

Awesome, gabeblack, looks really good! I was surprised at how fast it generates the PDF. Can you make it so the program also accepts csv exported from MLS? Those of us outside the USA don't get the unit websites :-( (Looking at JSweeney's post above, I guess that could involve combining rows, by tak...
