Re: LCR Finance is not loading
This is typical of a server resource that collapses under high load. We saw this at 11AM PDT today and deferred doing any finance until this afternoon. It's not the first time it's happened, and it won't be the last.

Re: Expiring Password
Now Microsoft has come out in opposition to this:

Meanwhile we had another password problem that cost us an hour on Mothers' Day. Thanks HQ!

Re: Expiring Password
But from some PMs, I've learned that "shared passwords" have indeed been a problem in some units. So, NIST not withstanding, a requirement to periodically change the passwords will likely continue in certain church apps for the foreseeable future. This is silly. Correct the behavior throu...

Re: Expiring Password
It's actually not. That's the point of the thread. The evidence is that compelling a password change *reduces* security.drepouille wrote: Well no. This is industry standard security policy, especially for officers of any organization who have as much power as we do to modify personal data.

Re: Lost My MLS Pass word
We had someone forget their password last week. To set a new password, it required 2 admins to consent to setting password. More of the same moronic password policy.

Re: Lost My MLS Pass word
At least for us, it requires 2 different admins now to change a password. Good luck if you don't have 2 admins with good passwords!

Re: Expiring Password
I won’t go into some of the things we’ve seen, but I’ll say that I do see the need. And it affects me — I have to change my MLS password regularly along with everyone else. So decreasing security and causing inconvenience is okay because it's inconvenient to you too? This is not a valid argument. I...

Re: Expiring Password
While the article has valid points, we discovered several interesting things as we started enabling this. There are a few benefits to forcing password changes on a semi-regular basis in our environment. Hey, great for you. Sucked for us. We had Stake Conference + General Conference right after some...

Re: Export membership to spreadsheet and/or query interface with LCR?
I believe this is a permission assigned in the permissions screen. At least I know any member of our bishopric can do this, but I (Finance Clerk) cannot.

Re: Tax Statements for 2015 - printing necessary?
In the US, tax summaries are required to be sent before Feb 1. Last year I didn't receive full-year donation records for members who moved in during the year until the last Sunday in January. I wouldn't expect it earlier than that.
