Receiving general conference or other broadcasts in spanish on roku
We have several tvs with ROKU devices in our stake center. Now that we do not have satellite internet I would like to use the roku to receive general conference and other broadcasts in spanish, ASL, etc. Is this possible? I could not see a way to do it in the latterdaysaints channel. Last time I end...

Re: Static RTMP Url and Keys?
Another question, did I see something about the encoding rate doubling to 4.5 Mb/s or did I dream that?

Re: Static RTMP Url and Keys?
ok that makes sense. I was hoping I would be able to create a new static url and key and then select it for each event but this tied to event would still be a big improvement.

Static RTMP Url and Keys?
I remember seeing a popup on the church webcast site that mentioned static urls and keys were going to be implemented on December 15th. That day has come and gone. Has this feature been implemented and is there a way to access it? This is a feature I care about as we are transitioning our stake meet...

Re: Mevo streaming through webcast getting disconnected errors
If you find a fix for this, please update this thread. I tested out a mevo tonight at our building and had the same issue when connecting to the church system. I didnt have any dropouts with youtube.

Re: Church broadcasts using MEVO
For those that have used the mevo, where did you have the camera located? Is the zoom good enough to be able to get good quality from say the second or third row of pews if on a tripod? Are you running audio from the aux-out into the camera and if so are you just using a long stereo mini cable or ar...

Re: Church Webcast - Weekly Recurring Event & Other Updates
Thank you. This makes things alot simpler for virtual sacrament meeting broadcasts. I appreciate you working on the static RTMP URL as well. That will allow me to always have my phone ready to go as a backup in case the encoder goes down.

FIR on Android issues
I recognize that the FIR Android app is only loading a mobile webpage and actually I'm ok with that but the user experience is really bad on at least on Android phones. My main grievance is that the text boxes are so small and its very difficult to edit what you have wrote. Once the text wraps its n...

Re: Min Bitrate & Max Bitrate
Keep in mind that for streaming, it's the sustained bitrate that's important. Not the advertised or claimed rate. It's entirely possible for a "higher" building to actually have a lower usable bitrate. If it is pushing out a lower bitrate wouldnt that mean that I'm not able to support the...

Min Bitrate & Max Bitrate
In my tests of the new webcast system (portal.ldswebcast.org) I've noticed that by default the system is setting the receiving feed at a very low bitrate (100KBps). This is even the case when doing a test receive webcast. If I manually set the min bitrate to 500 KBps however it jumps up the higher q...
