"Truth Restored" banner ads

I've been seeing the Truth Restored banner ads all around various websites lately to link to Mormon.org.

Is the code / graphics available for web masters that would like to include the banner as some free advertising on their site, without charging the church for click-through?

Thanks,
Jeff

Missionaries receiving their postal mail

I'm wondering if there is anything we could do technology-wise to make sending mail to our missionaries a bit easier. I tried to write a letter to one of ours and found the whole endeavor to be about impossible. I kept asking his parents if they knew of his address. They were allowed to keep in touc...

A 1:1 will provide isolation to take care of ground problems. An impedance matching transformer will bring the volume level up and may make things clearer. I'll guess much of the improvement was because of grounding issue, being as how the video phone doesn't even have a grounded outlet even though...

Generally you shouldn't hear any hiss or hum. That suggests that the levels aren't set right. I'm still wondering why you are getting mic levels out of a line level out. Just the normal background of a line level out is going to have a fair amount of noise because the signal is supposed to be much ...

While this wouldn't work as well with personal or individual mailings, if you're sending out something to everyone in the ward here is one idea. Design your item with a little rectangle in the corner to which a postage stamp could be affixed. Instead of having the box say "Place stamp here", have it...

http://www.twacomm.com/catalog/model_LSR-1.htm From the description on the website you referenced, it sounds to me like the LSR-1 would force a particular phone to always be treated as an emergency when it is used. This makes sense for the elevator phones as it described. But, a foyer phone??? I th...

But, since this is a tech list, here are some wildly crazy solutions: Here's another crazy idea to add. I once heard about some other church that had something like three hundred children attending in its various broken up meeting schedules. Unlike our church they aren't broken up into definable "w...

If we have Asterisk transfer certain inbound calls received at the church building over to the missionaries or us or what not via VoIP (which is actually a really neat idea) then on infrequent occasions someone might pick up the phone to make an outbound call only to unexpectedly break into a conver...

It would be nice if the http://referrals.lds.org/ website had some CSV import/export functionality that could be used as a means of bridging the gap between it and programs such as Tom's.

I got mine at x100p.com but there are others. I just recently ordered an X100P device off e-bay and am waiting for it to arrive. Asterisk can do a lot for you but with only a single phone line in, you will run into a lot of restrictions - for example, if you want to transfer a call to a ward missio...
