Re: Home Teaching Assignments available on LDS.org
+1 for me. I am also a bishop and am strongly looking at returnandreport so I have a way of seeing who is assigned where. I would much rather have it automatically sync though! :) My priorities are. 1) Seeing the most up to date assignments 2) Being able to email a family who is assigned to visit so...

Thanks!
As bishop you can send email to various groups of ward members by using the Send a Message button in the toolbar of the Leader Resources page ( http://lds.org/leader ) or by going directly to http://lds.org/messaging . Ward clerks also have this ability. I don't think that assistant clerks do (but ...

Subscriptions
I'd just like to echo what was said above. Only the most geeky know RSS anyway. LDS.org is woefully missing the ability to email the ward members by a member of the bishopric. At least that I an see. We had a huge storm here last night and I want to email everyone in our ward (I'm the bishop), but I...

I think this is a great idea. I have been thinking about other applications as well. Having a hangout with some missionaries in it on the church page that folks could come into and learn and talk. The hangout feature really does help folks connect online... and with more and more people with webcams...

Stylus
I don't use a stylus. I tried it out, but I like the ability to re-order and rework things and find it much easier with a keyboard. I do have a wireless keyboard I use occasionally when working on longer things, but for the most part I just use the on-screen keyboard.

Evernote
I'm a bishop in our ward and use my iPad a lot in meetings. I find it is a lot less intrusive than having a laptop between me and the rest of the meeting. I use evernote for my personal notes and bishop only notes.. Great application for taking notes. It is free for up to a certain amount of data. I...

Webinar
You might also just check Skype or Teamviewer. Both are free. Skype had video and screensharing. Teamviewer allows shared screens. That teamed with FreeConferenceCall.com works great. You could even get a Free Google Voice account. I use all these tools all the time. Hope this helps. Love using tech...

I would love to build something like this for the church to be used by stakes and wards around the world. I am a website developer that works for UNC-CH and build them up a service (web.unc.edu) with Wordpress Multi-Site that allows anyone with an campus ID (I'm sure we could integrate the LDS Accou...

Hymn App
I would like to see apps for church hymns both alphabetically and by number. :o I can't remember the name of them anymore (I don't have my iPhone anymore... ditched it for a droid), but there is certainly some apps out there already. Do a search for lds hymn and you will find it. As I recall it had...
