A few months ago a member of my bishopric had a great idea to plan sacrament meetings. He made Google Excel sheet and shared it with those that planned sacrament meeting. That way only those with a need to know had access, and we had the ability to remove and/or add viewers or collaborators at will...

Sorry this post was so long in coming. Here are the file: http://mormon.mine.nu/website.zip Someone just recently alerted me to the fact that this is no longer a valid web address. mormon.mine.nu has a new host now (same web address, hosted by a different physical server). I'll try and get my passw...

Just one caveat: If MLS is installed on a non-church computer and you try to load ward/stake data, you will get an error. Problem is, the unit number is still "there" so if you try re-installing MLS, the computer will default to the original unit # whidh makes it difficult to install using the dumm...

I think it would be great to have a software study journal. I installed a multi-user version of Wordpress ( http://wordpress.org/ ) called Wordpress-mu ( http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress MU). I use it. Its great. I can tag posts, distribute copies of the journal quickly/easily, maintain a list ...

Just found a silly bug. lib_church.php In the makeKey function, edit the return statement to simply be: return $newKey; The key is stored in a varchar(20) field. Previously $newKey could be up to 20 characters, plus the few characters it appended on (which were put there as a test). Anyway, in the r...

No you could not, but you are taking no precautions against them hearing. You are not scrambling your signal so it can only be received with your equipment, and you have not patented the means by which they can receive the information. The difference with the satellite example is the steps taken to...

Just my 2 cents... If you know they require you to pay for the service yet you take it because you have the knowledge to do so that is the same as stealing, to me. If a door is locked it is not right for me to pick it simply because I know how. If I said, "Ok, nobody listen to what I'm about to say...

The time is not yet to live the law of consecration. ;) I'm not sure that its a law of concecration thing. I'm not saying companies should openly shared products. Its a bit like satelite TV. Whether you pay for an account or not, they bombard your house (all hosues) with signals from satellites. So...
