Re: Which smartphone does church support?
This being said, the fact that the DEVELOPERS (not the Church, of course) continue to treat Android users as second-class citizens seems a bit short-sighted. Please remember that when you talk about "The Developers" you are talking about a group of volunteers who are creating and maintain...

Re: Win 8 Apps
the simple fact that Win 8 has been out for over a month now and there is still no LDS scripture apps is a epic fail. Windows 8 has been out for less than 2 months. In that time you expect the church to drop other projects of higher priority, the community to produce a team of expert developers and...

Re: How to get a lesson back on the schedule
Yes. If you add an event after creating a class schedule you will have to manually edit the weekly entry for every week after that event. I agree with you. If your events are setup to correctly affect your classes, it can be easier to delete the class and recreate it. This does not necessarily apply...

Re: Strategy for playing "Come, Follow me"
Here's another idea. I admit I know little about satellite transmission technology. Could the church use it's existing satellite transmission system to offer an on demand menu of media? I'm thinking about something similar to what satellite tv companies offers with on demand movies etc. If this is p...

Re: Strategy for playing "Come, Follow me"
The trouble with that approach is that there are something like 29,000 units of the church around the world with potentially an average of say 5 concurrent classes. That would cost $7.25M to provide one device per class. You can't have it for free. Someone is going to pay for it. If we ask teachers...

Re: Funding Good Projector for small groups
I'm an avid scouter myself; but the young men in my ward have no interest in a tent. The Boy Scouts themselves are moving toward engaging the boys through technology. If the bishop, through his keys of inspiration, determines that funding A/V equipment is the best way to use his wards budget dollars...

Re: Strategy for playing "Come, Follow me"
The iOS version of the Mormon Channel app allows for easy downloading and streaming of church content, including videos. It also has a Youth section within. This seems like a natural fit for adding a "Come, Follow Me," collection. While iOS devices are not cheap, some Android devices can ...

Re: Gospel Library Hymns need the music
What you are asking for is already available in the church's LDS Music app on iOS. I could see an integration allowing for fast navigation between the two apps (GL and LDSM). Perhaps the two apps could be conjoined.
