Re: General Conference WAV Files
It looks like the church still sells audio CDs of General Conference. Have you compared the audio of the downloaded MP3 files to the audio of the CDs?

Someone Else's Donation is in My History
I was just double-checking my online donation history and, presto! There's a new donation from this past Sunday which I did not make. When I click to get the details, it shows me that this donation was done with a check and it tells me which ward processed the payment. Turns out, it's my brother's w...

Re: My Country Should Be USA But Now It Shows As India
Okay... but I still can't figure out how it was changed to India in the first place. Hmmm.

My Country Should Be USA But Now It Shows As India
I don't sign in at LDS.org all that often. Mostly to do donations, but I can usually navigate to what I need without signing in. That said, today I happened to notice that, when I was signed in, the top, right corner of the main web page has a little, round "world" icon and, next to that, ...

Re: Conference Podcasts
For this recent conference, audio podcast files were available for Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon sessions before I went to bed on Saturday night. But the rest pf the podcast files (Priesthood session and both Sunday sessions) don't show up in my podcast app on iOS... still... a week later!...

Re: Newsletter going away???
I hadn't paid much attention through this forum lately but, today, sat down to dig into the necessary 2017 newsletter entries (as a big part of one of my callings to maintain this stuff for the ward) and... oh, never mind. I knew the lesson schedules were going away but, somehow, I missed the news a...

Re: Get Missionary Account Balance
Obviously, the dynamics have changed now that more people are donating online and are able to obtain their own donation records online too (reports they could only previously get from someone who used MLS). It's only natural that donors would want a ward missionary sub-category report online too, es...

Re: Get Missionary Account Balance
My thinking is that there's no point checking the balance more often than once per week. But it could potentially change any day, now that donations are received online and not just processed on Sundays in the clerk's office. I was also thinking that the clerk could potentially check the balance, wr...

Re: Get Missionary Account Balance
Agreed. The ward clerk and/or "finance clerk" is your man. Just make him aware that you want to receive a regular update on the account balance and he can make a habit of informing you. Suggest that each Sunday before he wraps up his work and shuts down the computer that he could just send...

Re: Doubts about violent media
I could certainly provide an opinion but it wouldn't be authoritative. Also, this forum is designed for discussions of technical questions instead of the topic you have presented here. I can tell you, anecdotally, that a few years ago I took an elderly relative to see the Joseph Smith movie at the L...
