Re: Tv in bishops office

anything in the building belongs to FM. I believe this is a true statement. Wards and Stakes are tenants in the buildings - they don't own them, the church does and the FM group manages that ownership. I have also heard that the Stake President usually carries a lot of clout with the FM group, thou...

Re: schedule temple appointment

same thing happens to me and same error message for two days running now. On another thread, I saw there was a problem reported with the LCR portion of the church website yesterday that was fixed and is back again today (they are working on it). I don't know if that has a spill-over effect to the t...

You can check at Account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to see if your membership record number is correctly associated with your Church Account. If you don't have your mem...

Re: financial statement review signature timeframe

Like it or not, there is individual bias in auditors (because we are all human) and I have personally had some who applied their own interpretation. I had one auditor who insisted on reviewing every single financial transaction during the audit - that was a very long 6 hours! I complained to the aud...

Re: Birthdate security

Living persons are simply a "bridge" to our deceased ancestors and descendants. For me, I only enter the person's name and mark them as living. No other information is required. Where I have 7 living children (and one deceased grandchild), there is a possibility of many copies of each one ...

Re: Question about genealogy

FamilySearch and Ancestry.com work differently. On Ancestry, each person has their own individual tree. On FamilySearch, there is one global tree that everyone participates in as a collaborative effort. That said, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can gain access to Ancestry...

If you do believe it is a scammer, you might also ask your bank to reverse the charges as not authorized by you.

Re: How to remove account from mobile apps remotely?

Is there a way to do a factory reset without accessing the screen on your specific device? Some devices have a pin hole that can be used to factory reset it to the "as shipped" state. That might do it, but I don't know if it would delete installed apps and their settings.

That makes sense and I suspected as much. But as I had not tested it, I didn't want to lead the OP down a false path.
