kgthunder is correct. I guess I need to edit the post to be more specific as to where it will be. It is conference in Austin Texas that is very big for the design community.

Yes it can be done... but you have to select post by post which ones to split which can be tedious. It is best to just keep things on topic from the start, but we all know that isn't always possible.

It can only be done by moderators and admins.

I was the guy who mentioned that it would be coming. I asked around about this and apparently this features is going to be delayed a little bit. It is still coming, but will not be available with the non-beta release of the new site. You can imagine it is a big undertaking to take the existing URL's...
