Until now, this was the only way a ward could know that a member had a stake calling. With the advent of MLS 3.0 and the extinguishing of its bugs, I think the ward will no longer need to record a stake calling. They will all flow from the stake. And this is as it should be, when the software final...

If the 'out of unit' callings do serve a purpose similar to what atticusewig describes then don't you think the list should have all the positions from the stake instead of just a portion? (30 out of 69) No because those are custom out of unit callings and not standard callings. MLS could take into...

Let me ask a different question: Why are any of the stake callings available at the ward level? Why aren't they entered at the stake level and the wards just view them? To me it's contrary to the order of the church to have wards entering stake-level callings. That is, unless it's just as a "placeh...

My number one request is to be able to change the groups on the Leadership directory and to add our own custom callings and groups and remove those we don't use in the ward. As a Student Singles ward we have no need for the Young Men, Young Women or Primary groups but we do have a lot of Ward Commit...

Can someone tell me the policy when a baptism occurred (5 years ago) in the past, but it was not recorded, nor was a baptismal certificate created; so it is not in MLS, and the church has no record of the baptism. However, the parents of this child, the bishop, and the person who performed the bapt...

Talk to your Ward Clerk or Membership Clerk. It's easy to add adopted children to your current wife's membership records. They will need to know if her adopted children already have a membership record or whether they will need to create one but either way it will take them a few minutes to make the...

I just received a call to serve as an Assistant Secretary in the Elders' Quorum so I'm just learning how to use MLS but I do recall seeing a "Print Rolls" (including attendance roll) option that allowed me me to choose who appears on an attendance roll by high priest, elders, prospective elders, etc...

I've posted this before, but the two need to be tied together into a single calendar. That way additions, changes and deletions on one will automatically reflect on the other. Having two separate calendars will eventually come back and bite you. Having one calendar isn't always a good idea. I know ...

Members put events on the calendar and think that the resource comes with it. This is the biggest problem we have in members using the site! This error causes more problems and pain and complants (sic). It may be useful for people to be able to click on a button "Add Resources" when adding an event...
