Deposit batch recorded twice in MLS

One of our units had a deposit batch for January 9, 2011 that shows up twice in MLS. If you look at the list of deposits for this year, you see it listed twice. Both entries have the same batch number beside them and are composed of the same donations. I am guessing the donor's tithing to date repor...

Charitable OTHER marked non charitable

Our state president received permission to solicit donations from members to help defray costs of special event being held for the community (a traveling religious exhibit coming to our region). Members made their donations to an OTHER account at the local units, and those funds were sent in to the ...

Don't cancel flying MoTab out for your Christmas Social yet. My guess is they haven't thought about stopping the interest payments on your Ward Missionary Account. Daily interest on a $billion in the Ward Missionary account for a few days could still fund a pretty nice Christmas party.

I suggest your stake consider donating the excess to the recently formed "CUBS Induced PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Foundation".

I agree. Our units similarly have several "twin" subcategories floating around from re-establishing them in the proper place. Its probably good not to be able to hide them right now because we keep looking at the all time Income and Expense Report to make sure everything is correct (some o...

I considered "more" might seem like more money/more budget before I suggested it. However, it still seems like the best choice to me. I am not sure if the system would support it or not, but one way around the point raised by Bro. RussellHltn is to use "More..." (the three dots s...

I thought about "Misc" earlier, but locally, we have long had a Budget:Misc category for miscellaneous items. It was historically a parallel category to our "Budget:Young Men", "Budget Relief Society", etc. categories. In the new CUBS system we have it under the "B...

CUBS Budget:Other and Other:XXXX confusion

A suggestion to the programmers - how about changing the name of the CUBS "Budget:Other" subcategory to "Budget:More" Several units are currently re-creating their own subcategories under "Budget:Other" for things like combined YM/YW activities that are not represented ...

Thanks Alan for both your quick responses. The instructional MLS emails we received earlier seemed to indicate some level of urgency to get these steps done before the CUBS transition. Its great to hear we still have a little time to prepare for the storm.

CUBS Budget entered by when?

We understand the stake is to enter local unit budget allotments as a percentage of the stake allotment or as a percentage of the various categories. Does that have to be done by August 15, by August 22, or just whenever we get around to it? We have traditionally entered the unit budgets as a fixed ...
