Re: First World Problems
And you could via wired? Normally you can't stream YouTube at all, but that restriction is turned off in the weeks surrounding General Conference. I wouldn't expect the Meraki to limit the bandwidth that much if you're the only user. Wired computers are at full speed, even on the other side of the ...

First World Problems
At the modem, speedtest.net measures 105 Mbps (Cox Cable). Directly out of the MX64, speedtest.net measures 103 Mbps. In a clerk's office, behind a cheap Monoprice switch, through a garbled patch panel, and easily 200 feet away, speedtest.net measures 101 Mbps. Standing 5 feet away from the MR33, pl...

Re: Why no hymn lyrics on screen this general conference?
Sorry, I meant calling out the hymn numbers locally at the pulpit for those in attendance.

Re: Why no hymn lyrics on screen this general conference?
Sadly,
The lack of hymn lyrics continues. Does anyone know who we can contact to find out which congregational hymns will be sung in each session so we can overlay our own lyrics? or at least call out the hymn# so as not to lose half of the first verse thumbing through the hymn book in the dark?

Re: Maraki and Cisco AP integration issues.
At the training sessions for deployment of the Meraki equipment in our area, it was mentioned that by the end of 2018, some 19000 MX64s will be deployed worldwide. Assuming a delivered price of $500 each, we're looking at 9.5 million dollars worth of widows mites. Further assuming that to replace ev...

WiFi
I've been pondering, worrying, and fretting about where to put the single MR33 in our buildings knowing that: 1. Even IF we do get more, it will be awhile before we get them. 2. We're unlikely to get enough to blanket any building in good WiFi, ever. 3. If they come from the FM Group or Stake Budget...

Re: Cisco 800 Series firewalls to be replaced
I seriously doubt we would get any preferred treatment over the other Stakes under the purvue of my FM Manager. Assuming an MR33 costs $600, that would be roughly $15000 for my FM manager to issue an extra WAP for regular buildings and two for Stake Centers. If we change the mix to four WAPS for reg...

Re: Cisco 800 Series firewalls to be replaced
The FM group cannot do anything for us, they've told me that directly numerous times. Our FM manager even readily admits he doesn't like taking my calls, or seeing my emails, because he's tired of telling me No! I'll make sure my Stake President knows of the "next guy" argument when I prop...

Re: Cisco 800 Series firewalls to be replaced
Man.... I'd seriously get the FM to put in more AP's... I don't have access to our equipment, I have no keys to the attics, ... I recently started a job with a local IT services company who has had great success deploying THESE . I figure four in the regular buildings, and six in the Stake Center w...

Re: Cisco 800 Series firewalls to be replaced
Our Stake Center has only one official external WAP. However we do have a few residential wireless routers to fill the coverage gaps (or at least try to). During Stake Conference, I just bypass the entire firewall, leaving the wall jack I'm using, the only active point in the building. Restoring int...
