Re: No directory admin for Asst. Clerk in Directory 2013 Bet
It is the standard permission. I also noticed when I first logged in, I saw data for a ward in California, while I am in Oregon. I logged in again later this afternoon and I saw my ward and had the correct permissions again. I'm not sure what was wrong earlier, but it appears to be working fine now.

Disciplinary Action and Send/Receive
I am an Assistant Clerk in my ward, and recently did a send/receive. There were a number of membership updates, and among them was a record of disciplinary action. Having not been privy to the fact that there had even been a council, it was quite a surprise to see. My understanding was that except f...

No directory admin for Asst. Clerk in Directory 2013 Beta
I have two callings in MLS. Assistant Ward Clerk - Finance, and then to help with lds.org administration I also have the calling Assistant Ward Clerk. On lds.org/directory I have admin rights, but on the 2013 beta I do not see options to upload, approve, or manage photos.

We have had the same problem. We reported it to the Stake Technology Specialist, but he didn't have any idea. I suggested he call Salt Lake, but I don't think that has happened since the popups are still occurring. If you get it resolved, please post back what it took so that I can point him in the ...

We also have the bishop, his counselors, and both the Ward Clerk and the Finance Clerk able to sign checks although usually it is the Finance Clerk and one of the counselors who ends up signing each check. We make sure at least one member of the bishopric signs (so never both clerks). We also make s...

We don't typically mail the donor statements, we just hand them out at church. I found that with the windowed envelopes I can fold the header so that it shows in the window and I can seal the envelope and still see who it is for. Checks work nicely with the windowed envelopes as well, and I imagine ...

I second mrrad's points. Excellent job with updates. They are almost always painless, quick, and easy for our ward. It would be nice though if for more involved updates we got a message in MLS on Sunday saying that the update would be pushed out the following day, and then it wasn't pushed until Mon...

Some other options you have are transfers, which work between other categories, adjusting budget amounts, and writing a check to the ward, which works for most other transfers. As aebrown mentions, if you are just looking to recategorize an expense, you can simply go find the expense and edit the ca...

You can contact the missionary department. If you are a clerk, you can lookup the contact information in CDOL. Otherwise you can work with your ward clerk to get the information you need. I needed to lookup missionaries serving from our ward for the past 15 years, and they were able to provide the l...
