We use a lightly marbled paper, I think it 40-60 lbs. Looks nice, is stury, but still makes it through the printer if we use the back tray. I don't think it is archival quality or acid-free, and we haven't had requests for such. We had a membership clerk that used the plain white paper for a while, ...

In our ward, we have an assistant clerk who is assigned as the technology specialist. The ward clerk is still tech savy, but member questions about the websites, using the DVD players, or hooking up the projector to a laptop are all referred to the assistant clerk. He also back-fills both the financ...

Church news article

There was an LDS Church News article post about this yesterday. The short answer is it is already happening. It will continue over the next few years until it is fully migrated and MLS is retired. http://www.ldschurchnews.com/articles/62373/Member-leadership-services---MLS-software-moving-online.html

I agree

I think it would be great. There are a number of features I think would be good to add to the music website. The biggest for me would be a navigation interface more like the directory. Where I could choose a the set (hymns, children's songbook, etc.) from a dropdown, then scroll through a list of th...

Assistant Ward Clerk access

I was looking at the access rights for the Assistant Ward Clerk position in the Leader and Clerk Resources, and it appeared that it had less access than the Assistant Ward Clerk - Membership (it had everything except Edit Membership). In our ward this calling (which I am called to) is a backfill for...

I see a few references in this thread and others to a policy about data security preventing Church data from being stored on non-Church computers. Does anyone have a link to, or could post the policy document? The only policy reference I could find is http://tech.lds.org/wiki/images/a/aa/Policy_and_...

I would second this. It would be nice to only have a title listed. This also prevents those looking over my shoulder when I try to find a scripture I marked from seeing journal entries I have added.

I used to have access to these, but at some point it changed and I no longer see those options. It may be because I am an executive secretary, and not bishopric or the ward clerk, but I don't see these options there anymore.

Can a "check box" be placed in front of the action item (name) that allows one to "check" the box once the action is complete? No, but if you click on the Interviews link under the Resources dropdown in the Leadership area, you will see a list of upcoming interviews. It doesn't ...

I wasn't trying to argue that it couldn't happen -- obviously it can. I was just saying that it was rare and I had no way to test it in my stake. My testing of the originally reported problem failed to duplicate the reported issue, so I was wondering if it only happened if the last name was changed...
