language detection

I assume that lds.org detects language of users based on IP, or browser language. lds.org keeps reverting my setting to spanish. It's rather odd. I have to manually set it back.

Anyone else having this issue?

So this stuff has been available for the better part of a year at least. Are there new features being released besides the ones that have been there for a while now?

We had the primary leaders give out a peice of candy if a child got their photo on the new LDS website. We got more photos and registrations via that avenue than any other flyer, poster, talk, or whatever. Kids got their parents to do it for a free piece of candy. :)

The calendar in its current state was not designed for this type of feature. Reminders are sent to everyone subscribed to the calendar. Everything is considered everything as an event, not an appointment. I know it seems simple enough to create, but in execution things rarely are that simple. Due t...

Idea Exchanges

Ok since I got more clarity on the vision for JIRA. I'll ask another question. Can we get Idea Exchanges of some sort (something more formal than a forum) to rally votes around ideas and features for the various apps and programs. This would allow each app to see what users think is actually importa...

Interesting post. The past two years I've posted the sign up sheet while I'm at church and taken it down before I left. I then email the whole ward with the sheet to continue sign up during the week. No one has complained. We also do tithing settlement all in one day so sending out the email is a go...

Well it's a great system for external users to rally all the voices around certain issues. Get Satisfaction, UserVoice and others are also decent systems. I asked about it since we had a conversation about idea posts in the various forums. I've seen responses from you and others that feature request...

JIRA for voting on issues and feature requests

I see JIRA in the header. What's the vision for that section? Can we use that more widely for issues, and feature requests? It has the ability to let external users vote and watch issues and new features. This would help the development team prioritize, but also to get clarity on what's being worked...
