In this case I would recomment the use of homing pigeons. :-) Sorry, couldn't resist. good idea in principle...but when it floods...it floods fast... and then the power goes out...so there will be no cell phones to get sms messages on :(...and the lines will most likely be flooded anyway...so all yo...

SMS Messaging - (Another 3 letter search!)

Has there been any discussion about setting up SMS messaging for the Unit sites through the Unit Admins. I think that allowing users to enter their SMS phone number and opt in to recieve message via that method could be tremendous....talk about a jump start to emergency preparedness contacting. Tyin...

One More Thing...

One more thought would be to make a log for the family, instead of a single entry type selection...What if you visited a family multiple times in a month...for numbers you would only need one entry but for a resource tool you would want to know all entries. True Scenarios... A family lost a dad has ...

Kicking that dead horse....

I made the suggestion to include other types of visits and mark them as counted. I would still encourage the addtion even if they aren't counted with a report breaking them out. I think we got hung up on what's official to count or not and missed my point. It is just as important to me as the EQP to...

I agree with these ideas also... BTW...Is you name really Atticus? While we are on the subject of notifications, I'm going to list some really crazy ideas I've had that I'm sure will never be implemented in the LUWS, because the development teams are just too busy doing "higher priority" p...

Delayed Email Sending

I thought I would offer a suggestion...when a calendar event is created or approved I wanted to see if we could be given the ability to delay the sending of an email. The reason I ask, is that someone submits an event a couple weeks or months in advance, it asks if we want to send an email and to wh...

I was referring to an export on the MLS system. Not an export for the forums. I was just bringing up I couldn't search for the term "XML" in the forums. Well, he was talking about an XML export for MLS and as a side note trying to do a search on the forums for the term XML to find if someo...

XML Export Feature

I am not sure if this has been covered but could XML be added as an export type for the MLS system. On a side note, I tried to do a search for XML in this forum to see if it had been covered and it gave me an error message saying that XML is too short of a term to search for (four characters require...

Well I would suggest that people review their handbooks and talk with their leaders about how things should be counted. As far as the software is concerned, I believe that it should stick with what the handbook states and if there are exceptions programmed in, it should be clearly marked as excepti...
