Re: Recommended Composite to HDMI scaler
Both the Atlona, and the Startech models mentioned above are supported models, thought the Atlona is the recommended model. It has proven in testing to produce a better picture, and be more reliable. It is however more costly, hence the inclusion of the Startech model.

Re: Composite to HDMI converters
For the record, the Atlona, is hands down the best option available. it costs more to be sure, however in my opinion with either the MonoPrice or the StarTech option, the image is far worse after conversion than it was at the beginning.

Re: Electronic Key Fob Distribution
FM groups are charged with these things. They very from manger to manager and region to region on implementing things like Keys, Fobs, TV's, pushing snow and watering the landscape. They have complete autonomy as long as they hit budget numbers. Although I've personally experienced opinions from FM...

Re: Bandwidth limitations on contracted ISPs
I think the FM may be slightly confused, the Policy is that the FM purchase the Best internet they can get for $50 per month or less. No limit on the Speed. I've heard of numbers like this as well, but I can't confirm where. It's in the FM office manual, which I would link to, but it is not Publicl...

Re: How many access points?
I thought I would chime in. As with most things, the "standard" number of Wi-Fi access points varies. Factors that may affect the number of standard access points include: ⋅ Area of the World - Outside of the US and Canada, each Area sets their own standards for what is included ...

Re: Sony EVI-D70 Control Issues
There seems to be some mis-communication. The AVDH-1, and 2. include many possible options. The FM group usually works with the Stake in determine which features are most needed, considering the budget constraints of the project. Remote Cammera control is one of those options. Regardless of the inst...

Re: Translation Equipment outside of the US/Canada
We live in Guadalajara, Mexico where there are no wards in English. Translation equipment here also does not exist. We've asked the bishop who spoke with the stake president to request translation equipment. We've even spoken with the FMC person in charge of the Area and the Meeting House Facilitie...

Re: Remote volume control?
Has anyone figured out a remote volume control for the main audio system? For the digital systems I would think there were two options -- another control similar to the one on the rostrum, or direct software access to the digital processor -- if they could set up an account that only had access to ...

Re: Sony EVI-D70 Control Issues
My guess is that the wiring for the control is not hooked up correctly. It is quite common that installers mix up pins 2 and 3 (TX and Rx). Either way, as part of the install process they are supposed to verify that the USB control is functioning. As a first step, I would determine how long ago the ...
