Re: Entering Expenses on LCR

Thanks a lot. Yes, on our MLS there is an option to either do it by paper check or by ACH transfer. On MLS it tell us what to do step by step, but, I hadn't heard about it, but the beta test comment makes sense. I am going to purchase something for the Ward this week, maybe I will try and do it and ...

Re: Tax ID numbers....Does each Ward have one?

For future reference in a situation such as yours, I would recommend working through LDS Philanthropies. Your donation there can be directed to any of the Church contribution accounts, tithing, fast offering, etc. In the past, you could not contribute to a ward missionary fund, but it appears from ...

Re: Trumpets in Church

I just read the reference above, and noted the work 'prominent'. Also, I read about options for sources of accompaniments if organs/pianos are not available. On my mission to England in the mid '60s, we had a missionary who brought along his guitar on his mission (in fact there were at least two), a...

Entering Expenses on LCR

I am an experienced Financial Clerk, but have been away for a little over a year (long story). I first came upon this 'question' when doing some Expense work on MLS. On the form there was an option for "Electronic ACH Transfers". I found the same 'option' on LCR, Can someone direct me to w...

Re: 11 year old primary children's transition

After reading all this, one thing comes to mind: September 2010 and the rollout of CUBS. There were many, many 'hicups' during that, but eventually we got a much better system than we had before. I am sure that as they realize all the small things they overlooked during the initial roll out, v.1.1 w...

Re: Youth Turning 18 progression to YSA Sunday School

Then in our case, two of our Grandchildren (in our Ward) decided when they were 17 and 16 respectively (now 18 and 17) that they preferred to attend Gospel Doctrine class rather than Sunday School because they learned so much more from the Adult Class than from the youth Sunday School class. It migh...

Re: Mass Communication

Then there are people like me (us) who have email, are computer literate (obviously), but do not, nor will, use Facebook, Twitter, texts, or have a "smart phone". I guess this shows the truth of the phrase: "one size does not fit all". ;)

Re: Intermediate Hymn in the new meeting format?

In our two regular Sacrament Meetings since the change (we had a special Stake Conference), we still had the Intermediate Hymn, and this week we had a youth speaker as well, but in both meetings the last speaker had to cut his talk short. I was going to talk with the Bishop about it this week, but h...
