Re: Trumpets in Church

Seems to me the operational word here is "most". Again, check with the Bishop. And if you are really sure that your piece, trumpet, sax, ect. might pass, play the piece for him and let him hear what you want to do.

Re: Attendance Rolls

Very good point. But the trick is getting her to do it. Her "job" is to 'run the organization, not print up the rolls'. In the many years of being Financial Clerk (18 years, six Bishops, three Wards), I found that it was such a great 'service' I could render as I was in the Office, someone...

Re: Can MLS report who has Patriarchal Blessings?

As was mentioned above, anyone can get a copy of their P.B from CHQ, so the person could request to get a copy of theirs and if there was not one available, they would be told such. BTW, you can also get a copy of the P.B. of any of your deceased ancestors. I requested the P.B. for my Third great gr...

Re: Child of Record - FamilySearch timeline

I know this is an old post, but the question is, did the OP talk to Family Search to get any of his questions answered? It is amazing how many questions can be answered when we ask the people whose job it is to answer those questions.

Re: sealing deceased unmarried couples?

Another place to get answers such as the OP posed, is to call Family Search help at 1-866-406-1830. They are there 24/7 to help us. As a Family History Consultant and a former Family History Center worker, have used them many, many time, and they are a great source of information. They can direct yo...

Re: Finding/correcting deceased members records.

I also had that same situation arise in my family. Of the five children my paternal grandparents had, only one showed BIC, even though my grandparents had been married in the Salt Lake Temple on 1907, and their parents and their grandparents had all been sealed as couples when they were married. To ...

Re: Tithing Settlement

Concerning the lists on the door, I guess that shows that the Gospel is the same where ever you go, but the 'Church' can very from place to place in regards to some rules. Our Executive Secretary is with the FM group, and he is the one who prints up and puts the lists on the Bishop's door. ;)
