Personal Progress Tech broadcast

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this. I am having trouble viewing the LDSTech broadcast video on Personal Progress, Duty to God, LDS Music from http://broadcast.lds.org/ICS/ldstech/2012-09-07.html. The page loads but the video never starts. I tried using Safari and Firefox on a Mac r...

Re: Wrong time between website and LDS Tools

One problem in the past has been that the time for an event on the Calendar gets converted from the time zone the computer shows to the local time zone. So if someone is traveling on the east coast and enters a time of 7:00 pm for a unit on the west coast, it will load in the Calendar at 4:00 pm. T...

Re: Wrong time between website and LDS Tools

The laptop and the iPad that I'm viewing the calendar from are both on the Pacific Time Zone. It's only a few events that are doing this - not everything in the calendar. Do you mean that the user who created the events possibly created a few events on a computer that was set to a different time zone?

Wrong time between website and LDS Tools

A calendar administrator posted an event to a stake calendar. When I go to the calendar at lds.org it shows a start time of 4pm. When I access the calendar via the LDS Tools app on an iPad it shows a start time of 6pm (which is the correct start time). Why the difference? This same calendar administ...

The time zone is important for many people. But the bigger issue in my mind is local details. For a broadcast (which many of these events are), we need to reserve a building/rooms, and we need to tell people where it is (some stakes have multiple buildings with satellites, or where they might be do...

Churchwide events

I've been one of those looking forward to having a Churchwide Events calendar and I'm glad that it's finally here. However, now I see some potential issues with it and I'm wondering out other stakes approach this. The Churchwide events are only showing the date they appear, not the specific time it ...

Same thing here. I created some fake events during a training this morning, and then couldn't delete them. I tried with 3 different browsers on two different machines. I also saw another editor at the training who could not delete events. I can go in and modify the event, just not delete.

Thanks for the info. It looks like I just wasn't being patient. I got word that the rights changes did take effect today. Problem solved and another ward excited and on board for the new calendar system!

Administrator access lost

I did a calendar training for a ward today. During the course of the training we discovered that the person over the website actually had a custom calling in MLS. So the ward clerk got on the ward computer and change the calling in MLS to the "official" calling (it had the star). He still ...

Both calendars I'm working with are stake calendars. I created both.
