There was a fix released (the first week of January 2011) to the sync process that should have resolved most of the issues by now. jdlessley, thanks for pointing out the help material. Most of the answers about the sync are on the Syncing with Third-Party Calendars page . I'll update that page with ...

Jenny, thanks for the feedback on the calendar. I'll make sure the QA lead for the calendar is aware of the bugs you mentioned. I appreciate your time in noting the issues. Hopefully many of these quirks will be worked out in future versions. Other commenters already mentioned that 2 of the 3 items ...

I've noticed the same issues when highlighting multiple paragraphs. I'll relay the info to the project team's QA lead.

I've started putting together some help materials at http://tech.lds.org/ldshelp . The calendar has been my main focus, but it seems that the questions never end. I'll try to fill in the gaps of what you asked to add it to the help. I think some of your questions might be answered by the Viewing Cal...

I have also been looking for something. I'm planning a Ward activity night to introduce all of the new tools on the lds.org site. I'm holding off until early March, though, so that the latest updates to the calendar will be in place and I won't confuse too many people. I would love some good traini...

I'm planning to create a lot of training videos for the calendar -- something like what you find on lynda.com. However, given that the interface for the calendar is changing significantly in Q1 of this year (prob. Feb or March), I thought it would be cost effective to hold off on the videos until th...

re: setup and takedown

There's a section I added in the help a while ago that addresses this issue. See Allow Time for Setup and Takedown. The workaround I suggest is to just add another event for setup and another event for takedown. I think that if people were looking at a ward Christmas party calendar, and the event sa...

I think the session expires after a while (15 minutes?) to prevent resource overload on the servers. It's a technical limitation, in other words.

I believe everything is supposed to work internationally. With the Directory, countries inside the European Union have all member data private by default. I recommend contacting Local Unit Support.
