MLS Bug Reporting Thread

Thought I would start a thread for us to collect any bugs we have experienced with MLS into one place so the developers can quickly see what bugs appear out in the field and add them to their own BugTracking system if they don't already know about them. I'll start off with an example, and encourage ...

I haven't tried this - but since classes are based on rules anyhow - couldn't you use a custom list to get a list of people in a class (in the future), use a ctrl-shift-c or whatever it is to copy it to a clipboard, and then paste that into a spreadsheet that mimics the format of the roll in the fut...

For Duty to God and Personal Progress I believe there are 3rd party programs that have been created that already do keep track of it. (I just did a google search and pulled up a few programs that have been developed) What would be the benefit of the church integrating it with MLS? A disadvantage th...

Policy for inlining images in News/Information items

The other day I tried to inline an image in a news/information item, so it would show up without having to click for an attachment. Basically, I tried to use an image from the front page of lds.org, next to the local news/information item. When I submitted it, it stripped out the image. So, is there...

MLS mods

Looking into the structure of the 2.6 version of MLS (which by the way is excellent - pass that on to the developers please), I noticed that the new CES and Confidential Forms fall under the mods subdirectory, and it appears that the new version would scan that directory and load anything else that ...

I have not seen a proven pattern, but I'm suspecting attempts to login when the site is down may do it. If that is the case, could the LUWS developers put something like - "Under Construction", do not attempt to login on the login page ? It would also be funny to see those work-sign graph...

One thing to ask them is what the error message says when
they cannot login - If it says something like

Your Stake does not participate in ........

It simply means that the login function has been
deactivated, because the developers are working
on the site right then.

Thanks for your procedures, atticusewig. I'd be interested in the scripts you refer to. Here are some more details: 1) BIC - the most accurate way to determine this is with 2 custom lists a) List 1- Criteria: Age is Less than 18 Criteria: Member Status - is not Sealed to Parents Display: Preferred ...

Admin Problems

Earlier in the week, I tried to login to my ward website, and got an error saying that my Stake isn't participating in the program. Since I know that my stake does, I figured that the LUWS developers were able to get some time to work on something, and temporarily gave everyone that message. Well, I...

Membership Audits

Thought I'd start a new thread about Membership audits, and what tools and techniques that could be used to help spot changes that need to be made to records. In my stake, we tend to time the membership audit to occur on the same Sunday as ward conference. Generally, the stake clerk sits down with t...
