As far as splitting the bill, if the Distribution Center were to implement the "Group Order" idea, I think it would be fairly easy for them to charge each unit for the items at the case-discount price. For example, if a group of 5 units were to order 10 DVDs each that are normally $2.00 ea...

Distribution Center Order Consolidation

You know how you can get case discounts from the Distribution Center, but at the same time don't know if you'll use all of the items in a case ? Well that's when it pays to consolidate your orders with another unit or more. Our ward did that with a couple of others recently when ordering mission DVD...

Using "Scripting" to solve the issue

One way to solve the problem is to use one of the "scripting" programs out there that allow you to control the mouse and keyboard to follow the instructions in a script file. I like a program called AutoIt that came on a CD I got with a computer magazine, but there are plenty of these type...

Really wouldn't it be nicer if the missionary's dinner appointments were on a calendar in the missionary section of the LUWS? Then members could just mark down which days they would be availble to invite the missionaries over, and perhaps the ward missionary leader could approve the final schedule ...

I imagine that this would fall under "no links to sites outside of the lds.org domain" rule. Of course, meebo being flash-based will slow down browsing for dial-up folks - if they even have flash enabled by default. ( I don't.) Perhaps, you'll get a lucky break, and the Church won't have a...

Today in Church History

You know how sometimes you'll see something that says "Today in 1956 [insert historical event]"? Let's see that for the Church. If this already exisits, please let me know. lds.org is pretty vast and I do overlook things from time to time. Perhaps this already exisits in written form, and ...

What would be considered the first level. As it is everyone has to post once to become a new member. You need 100 posts to become a Senior Member and I think 20 or 50 posts to become a member. I personally think after 10 posts and a good reputation that you should be able to post an image/screensho...

If MLS allowed the stake clerk to update membership information, even if it was just limited to Melchizedek Priesthood ordinations, it could be done on the day with the certificate also presented then and there, resulting in reduced administration which I think is one of the prime purposes of utili...

Firefox / IE extensions you use to help view LDS sites ?

Just thought I'd ask what Firefox or Internet Explorer extensions, plugins, etc. people use when visiting any of the LDS sites ? There are so many of them that it would be nice to hear which church members consider best. Also, has anyone put together any "Greasemonkey" scripts for any of t...

Polls to help the Church Developers

Now that we have a sizable user community, are there any plans to add polls to this site that might be put to use by the Church Developers ? Something like: Which of the following bugs/features in (MLS/LUWS) do you think are the most critical in fulfilling your calling ? Perhaps everything is alread...
