Temple Recommend Scanner
I've been cleaning out the stake clerk's office and I found a temple recommend scanner (item 04838000). This scanner was purchased in 2007 and it looks like it hasn't been used since then. Is there any reason why we would need a temple recommend scanner at our stake center? If there isn't, how shoul...

Emailing Members With Active Recommends
Is there a way to send a message/email only to members with active temple recommends? I'm responsible for notifying our ward members of our temple events (i.e. stake temple night, ward temple night, ward temple sealing assignments, etc.). I previously had a calling where I was able to see each membe...

Elders Quorum HT Supervisors & Instructors
I noticed in LCR that the then-EQ HT supervisors are not shown as the EQ ministering supervisors. I also noticed that our EQ instructors are not shown as EQ instructors (there's just a blank screen when I go to the EQ instructors page). Were the EQ HT supervisors and instructors automatically releas...

Re: Information Not Appearing
I also noticed that Elders Quorum is not part of the "Ward Leaders" section. In light of the EQ and HPG combining to form the EQ, there should still be an EQ link under the "Ward Leaders" section, correct? I see that too. However, my ward hasn't called the new Elder's Quorum yet...

Information Not Appearing
When I click on "Ward Leaders", "Households", "Photos" and "Missionary", I'm able to see the corresponding links for those sections. However, when I click on the links in those sections, I'm unable to see the corresponding individuals. All I get is a blank whi...

Melchizedek and Relief Society Sunday Meetings
Regarding Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society Sunday meetings, I thought I specifically read somewhere on lds.org that we skip the lesson that would have been taught on the Sunday of General Conference, ward conference or stake conference. For example, with General Conference being on the firs...

Incorrect Reimbursement Amount
One of our ward's assistant clerks mistakenly issued two reimbursement checks in the incorrect amount. Those two checks have since been cashed. Furthermore, both checks were issued in amounts greater than the amounts actually spent. How should I deal with this situation and how can I rectify it so t...

Proof of Non-Profit Status
Our EQ wants to rent a ball park for an activity. The city will charge them a smaller fee it they can prove the we're a non-profit organization. The EQ president thinks we might have to show the city the Church's tax ID number or some type of non-profit number. Does anyone know how we can prove to t...

Re: How many Hours a week does it take ????
Most ward clerk responsibilities are repetitive. Keeping a list of those repeating responsibilities and having a routine to fulfill them can be really helpful. Being proactive and not waiting until the last minute to take care of ward clerk responsibilities is also very helpful. I've found a lot of ...

Re: What do you use to track action items in meetings?
Having an agenda helps a lot - specifically, keeping minutes and keeping track of individual assignments that you can all review until tasks are completed.
