Replying to Russell and lajackson in the last two posts: We do have a backup from Dec. 2 on a flash drive that I tried to use yesterday to populate the "new" install of 3.1.2. I say "new" because I renamed the mlsData directory so that the program wouldn't use it and I could res...

Go back one more backup from the one you used and you will pick up both the user names and the passwords. This works best if you use the backups that MLS makes itself each time someone logs off. We did that. No dice. And by the time we were done for the day, all of the MLS-generated backups were ba...

Similar Problem

Our executive secretary shut down MLS improperly yesterday, and it caused the program to freeze whenever someone tried to log in. The steps listed here did not correct the problem. My bishop, who is thanfully a network administrator for the local gas company, and I got it to the point where it doesn...

Same Problem

The marquee of my copy of MLS says "3.1.1", but I am also having an issue with being able to log in. I enter my user name and password, then press "Enter", or click "Log in", (I tried both) and the program stops responding. Task Manager says the program is still runnin...

I'm going to be really messed up when the elders quorum president's counselors become the redeeming the dead counselor, the perfecting the saints counselor, and/or the proclaiming the gospel counselor!

My wife is the Stake Relief Society President and fielded this question enough to contact the General Relief Society office and was told the Relief Society follows the pattern of the priesthood and use 1st and 2nd Counselor. This is also found under Serving in the Church, Relief Society, FAQ. Relie...

I guess, technically, one could say that memo went out at least as far back as 1998 when the most recent version of CHI book 2 was released (see page 197 of CHI book 2). Thus one could also take the view that MLS 3.0 finally caught up with or clarified that "memo". But to be fair, not all...

Thank you for the clarification. I think that I worded key points of my inquiry in a way that did not make clear the reason I was asking these things. By "notification", I remember when we received a memo that the position of Teacher Improvement Coordinator was being eliminated (even thoug...

Relief Society Counselors in Latest MLS

Hey, why can't you choose different font colors anymore in here? Anyway, I would first like to say that I know we covered this over a year ago, and I read the thread again just now, to confirm that. Someone last year asked a question spurred by a change in his ward of the titles of the Relief Socie...

Yes, that is the information we've received in this forum. However, is at odds with the written policy. But we can all agree that loading actual data on a personal machine is a no-no. Okay, just so I'm clear on this... If, for some odd reason, I want to install MLS on my home computer without any o...
