This has always annoyed me as well. I believe I posted this in another thread long ago, but I suggested that we the default new address, phone, etc. be the current data and then just edit as necessary. It would surely make things easier when moving out records of those who do not live within the war...

Unless things have changed since I was involved in a boundary realignment, it's not just Mel PH but Mel PH who are full tithe payers that needs to be considered. Since this is not something that is normally tracked with MLS, it would me difficult to get this info into a kml file.

I just wanted to point out that, in the case of a branch being a part of a district (not a stake), there is no high priest quorum and no branch high priest group. All ordained elders and high priests are part of the branch elders quorum. In these circumstances, it's often the case that an ordained h...

I just wanted to point out that if a donor, for whatever reason, doesn't end up making the trip for which the funds are to be used, the donor can and should be reimbursed from the AMFA category the amount that was donated.

I don't think the issue you described will be resolved any time soon or even at all. I have discussed this a number of times in this forum and sent messages directly to CHQ about it, and it seems there are a number of folks who don't see this as an issue. The thing is that many wards regularly verif...

I just wanted to say that I'm very happy that someone has identified a method of getting the map function of lds.org to geocode members addresses at times other than when a record is moved into the unit. bspittle should now be able to get addresses mapped that were previously unmapped without having...

Part of the name/blessing is to create a membership record for the child. MLS will not allow a record to be created after the child's 8th birthday (they would need to be baptized). It's up to the parents and the bishop if the child is given a name and a blessing before they turn 8. A record may also...

7 or 8 years ago, when I was a ward and then stake clerk (previous stake), the stake was directed to complete ward/stake annual histories (I assume this is still the directive, but I haven't seen it practiced in stakes/wards I've been in since then). One of the things we were directed to include are...
