Re: Upgrade PC from Win 7 to Win 10

Looking for some details turned up this email from myself to the FHC group back on July 2015: =================================== {complaint about church communication removed} While the new operations guide makes it clear that we're now on a 5-year replacement plan, the directive that new computer ...

Re: Upgrade PC from Win 7 to Win 10

When I have called FHC Support (which I have tried once or twice), I seem to get a senior sister missionary, who then tries to guess whom to forward my question to. At least they didn't try to make up answers. That's an improvement over some of my conversations many years ago. It's as if they were ...

Re: Upgrade PC from Win 7 to Win 10

The mix of Win7/Win10 strikes me as a bit odd unless the stake bought more machines, centers merged, or usage suddenly shot up.

In my case, when a "machine refresh" came, ALL the machines were replaced with identical units.

Re: Upgrade PC from Win 7 to Win 10

Does the church have a way to upgrade these older Win 7 PCs to Win 10? If so, what is the process? If not, would I be ok to use the process from the ZDNet article on these FHC computers? None that I'm aware of, but I wouldn't be surprised if something comes out at the end of December. (Like it did ...

Re: Teradek video does not always start

For the no video message, make sure you have a good HDMI cabel, I have seen bad HDMI cables be the soruce of issues several times. If you use a HDMI splitter, the Teradek might be sensitive as to which port it's placed on. For my broadcast, I put it on the first port. I think that's the one used as...

Re: Diminished support for Android 4.x (and prior)

I have an LG-M153 (182)10 android phone. Information on the phone says the operating system is Android 6.0.1 Software is up to date I don't know what this all means, but from previous conversations on the forum, I understand that LDS tools will no longer run on Android 4.x. Should it run on Android...

Re: Transfer out of Other into Missionary Account

Which raises another issue. If they put the donation into AMFA, the donation won't show up in that donor's tax statement. The only why I can think of to fix this is to transfer back and have them re-categorize the donation to the ward missionary category and then transfer again.

If your iPads are not iOS 11 or later, it won't work. There is no work around.

You might try it on a different background. Preferably something different than the paper.

I usually use a clipboard that's black.
