Re: Ward history

All I need is a short list of what to include. Five or six items I assume. This single-page PDF specifically answers your question as to what to include in your history: https://history.churchofjesuschrist.org/bc/content/pdfs/church-history-specialist/eng/annual_histories/stake-and-district-coversh...

Re: Annual ward history template?

I would like to know what should be included. See https://history.churchofjesuschrist.org/faq/church-history-specialist/stake-district-and-mission-annual-histories Especially, see instructions for stakes and districts here: https://history.churchofjesuschrist.org/bc/content/pdfs/church-history-spec...

Re: Subscription services to find members

I agree with davesudweeks. I had a subscription to beenverified.com years ago when it only cost $60 for six months. Then I switched to another service, and then back to beenverified.com, but the prices went up dramatically, so I dropped it again. These services are good for an initial cleanout of me...

Re: Chromecast and Liahona

I have one old Chromecast and one new Chromecast working in my meetinghouse. I had to factory reset them to ensure all previous networks were cleared from them, begin the setup, and then add them to the No Splash Policy. Then the setup could continue. Hopefully folks don't think they can bring their...

Re: Clerk's Computer Must not be shut down?

The computer is plugged into a power strip (not a UPS) as supplied by the FM group, but it is the cheap kind that probably doesn't give much protection. When I was the STS, I told our FM Group that we needed to replace most of the older surge protectors throughout the stake. They asked me to provid...

Re: Bishopric member cannot submit own reimburesment

I got the feeling that this business rule was intentional, as a message appears that strongly dissuades you from doing so. In 2020, I was a ward clerk, and I purchased several items in response to COVID-19 broadcasts and sanitization. I found i could not upload my own receipts, so I emailed them to ...

Re: Showing deceased children in Family Search

I have a sister whose two [upbaptized]children passed away just over a year ago. She's trying to get the temple cards printed for them but their death dates don't seem to be registering in Family Search. It shows them deceased on her tree but overall FS doesn't recognize it so she can't print templ...

Re: Nonmember Donation

Non-members can be donors. That is why MLS/LCR has donor records vs. membership records.

Re: Can I kick connected devices off of the Liahona Network?

Sounds familiar! Last week a sister asked me for the Liahona password. As soon as her iPad connected to Liahona, it started to download an iOs update. And that is exactly why Liahona displays a ToS screen.

Re: Broadcasting equipment

Our FM group has been very firm that they provide such broadcasting equipment only to stake centers, not to meetinghouses. If stakes and wards want to purchase equipment for meetinghouses, then the FM may provide installation assistance. However, our FM group was not willing to mount a PTZ camera in...
