Printing Checks – Lesson Learned

I think I have corrected a mistake that we made on Sunday, but I won’t be sure until the checks actually clear the bank. I plan to call the GSC today to ensure I corrected the immediate problem. I am sharing with you as a lesson learned. • On June 30th, my assistant entered an expense for the Primar...

Re: Ward Split MLS Password issue

I imagine you can make anyone an "Admin" in MLS (e.g. bishopric counselors, exec sec, or even the EQP), and he could help you reset the bishop's password. After the reset, you can then remove/disable the account or just remove the Admin privileges.

Re: Elders Quorum Roll... Who do I count?

If anyone has a ward, stake, or mission calling that takes them away from their ward (EQ/RS) meetings, They should be counted as "attending". I sometimes wish the report criteria were reversed. How many members of your elders quorum DID NOT ATTEND ANY MEETINGS during the last month of the ...

Re: baby blessing in another ward

Such blessings are not saving ordinances, so they are not recorded. If your son's ward clerk cannot find a record for the child, your son can fill out a form that gives the information for the child, as well as permission for the clerk to create a record for the child. No harm, no foul.

Re: Elders Quorum Roll... Who do I count?

I tell everyone to ignore attendance and focus on activity. Click on the POTENTIAL link for each group in the Quarterly Report. How many of those POTENTIAL members do you consider to be active? Did they actually attend a meeting during the last month of the quarter, or were they serving elsewhere in...

Re: Birthdate

What most likely happened is that the missionary who filled out the form reversed the month and day. The standard date format used by the church is DD MMM YYYY, but most Americans use the numeric MM/DD/YYYY format, which is frequently confused with other formats.

Re: LCR Not Responding

We processed our donations and took them to the bank, but we could not Send/Receive until a few hours later.

It matters not whether this was a server failure, network equipment failure, or even a DDOS attack. We don't really have a need to know, and it's probably best that we do not know.
