Re: Electronic Reimbursement - Approval Process

Our auditor also asked for paperwork, but he was happy to look at the scanned images if we did not have the hardcopy. We did receive several receipts via email, and although I asked the members to bring the hardcopy to church, they never did. So the auditor just brought up the receipt images on his ...

Re: Electronic Reimbursement - Approval Process

Please note that the recipient of any EFT reimbursement must be a member of the church, and must have registered their bank account as an EFT reimbursement account. Not all checks are made payable to members, and not all members have registered a bank account.

Re: Other:AMFA transfers to stake

During the audit, we look at expenses, donations, financial statements, and the contents of Other:AMFA. However, I can't remember anything in the audit that examines internal or external transfers. I remember years ago when I first became stake clerk, and I performed some rather creative internal tr...

Re: Other:AMFA transfers to stake

Stake clerks are audited too, and leaving the funds in the top level account is something the auditors check. And that is exactly what I said at the end of my first paragraph. My point in the second paragraph is that there is nothing to ensure that the stake clerk transfers those funds into a subca...

Other:AMFA transfers to stake

Since all transfers from Other:AMFA to the stake appear in the stake's top-level Other:AMFA category, it is critical for the ward clerk to communicate with the stake clerk what should be done with the transferred funds. In the past, our stake clerk has ignored those funds and left them at the top-le...

Re: Menu Changes LDS.ORG

I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but the same 3x3 grid icon also appears on the Google home page, right after "Gmail" and "Images" in the upper right corner. The Tool Tip that appears when you hover over it is "Google Apps". Apparently, this icon is all the rage w...

Re: Payment Timing for ACH Expense Reimbursement

Ah, progress. One of the six outstanding EFT expenses now shows as Cleared. It's the one payable to me from July 9th. Eight days isn't so bad. Now if we can just get the ones from June 21st to clear, it would make me feel even better.
