Re: Virtual Stake Conference with everyone at home

hooo boy. So basically I have 6 weeks to purchase a TV studio and learn how to operate it so that we can have a Stake Conference. I don't suppose there are any consultants hiring out their services for stuff like this? Not at all. We had our stake conference a couple weeks ago. Everyone was at home...

Re: Worship Service Webinar options

1. Joining a webinar not only asks for a name, but also an email address. Members might be put off by this wondering what Zoom will do with their email address after it's entered. Of course, nonsensical email addresses can be used (eg, not@me.com), but that doesn't answer the bigger question of why...

Re: options for non-interactive Zoom meetings

Is this all within the Zoom Webinar itself, i.e., two different links to the same webinar depending on whether or not they are participating? Yes. you can actually have multiple links to the same webinar. In the webinar configuration, you add "panelists". These are the folks who will appe...

Re: Notice to STS - Using Zoom Webinars...

We've been using Zoom Webinar for many months for sacrament meetings and this month's stake conference. It's proven to be an excellent solution for us. Here are some responses to the comments I'm seeing: So my wards should all buy HDMI to USB converters and obtain laptops so they will not need to us...

Re: zoom account alternating hosts

Ummm... Yeah, we want to enable RSP, EQP, YWP and bishopric all to be able to host/co-host meetings/breakouts. While several have personal Zoom accounts, there doesn't seem to be a way to assign them ANY privileges. Yeah, the options are limited. You can share the ward/stake credentials with those ...

Re: zoom account alternating hosts

HOW do we add alternative hosts to our unit account? Log in to the Zoom website. Go to Settings. At the bottom, you can "Assign scheduling privilege" to another account. The other account can then view, start and host any of your meetings. However that account needs to be within the Churc...

Re: Language interpretation in meetings and webinars

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how it works to have a ASL translator? With ASL, it's visual, and not audio. For ASL, the host uses the "Spotlight" option to lock a participants video on screen for the audience. In a meeting, an individual participant can also "Pin" another p...

Re: Language interpretation in meetings and webinars

I'm assuming the email on the interpreter's free account has to match the email you've entered. (Which raises a question of what happens if they use a Google or Facebook login). Good question. We've not had that situation. There should be some kind of email address associated with the account, so I...

Re: Language interpretation in meetings and webinars

Can anyone confirm that this contact with Zoom Support has been accomplished? We have Stake Conference this weekend and would love to translate live in Spanish. The "three business days to activate" is my main concern if that is needed for each unit account. You do not need to contact Zoo...

Re: Zoom Concurrent Meetings

We were hit twice by this limitation yesterday. Two of our wards had ward council Zoom meetings happening just prior to sacrament meetings. The sacrament meeting hosts needed to start the sacrament meeting webinar and get it set up. That required stopping the ward council meetings. We're having the ...
