Shared building "bugs"

One of our buildings is shared between two stakes. The other stake is the "agent" stake, but the building is designated as shared in the FM database. We were experimenting with some calendar scenarios today and came across what appear to be a couple of possible bugs: 1) The other stake is ...

Yes, we're seeing that. Currently it's set up to reserve the entire building only. We'll be working with the other stake presidency to configure the locations.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Building shared between 2 stakes

...just because the other stake doesn't use the calendar doesn't mean one of their wards won't start using it. Yes, that's a good point. As I understand the calendar functionality, If a ward from the other stake begins using the calendar, they would no longer go through the building scheduler, but ...

Building shared between 2 stakes

One of our buildings is shared between 2 stakes. The other stake is the agent stake, and are not using the online calendar. However, the building scheduler for that building is a member of our stake. I understand the calendaring system requires the building scheduler to be from the agent stake. Is t...

Re: Changing a calendar from Private to Entire Unit

Thanks for the quick and informative replies. I thought it might avoid confusion of members seeing new calendars appear before they are complete, but I think you've convinced me to go with public calendars from the beginning. Thanks for the help!

Changing a calendar from Private to Entire Unit

We are just getting started with using the online calendaring system for our stake (yeah, a little late to the party :) ). To help orient the auxiliary leaders, I was thinking of starting with private calendars. Once events are entered and ready to publish, we would switch to "Entire Unit"...

Re: Unable to record HT/VT for new convert

That explains it. She was baptized at the end of Nov. Record was moved into the ward the first week of Dec. I didn't realize those records were considered "moved". I learned something new. Thanks for the help!

Unable to record HT/VT for new convert

We had a convert baptism back in November. The new member was assigned home teachers and visiting teachers, who both made visits in December. For some reason, MLS won't let us record a HT or VT visit for December for this new member. I doubled-checked the members' record, which shows baptism and con...

Prospective Elders assigned to HP or Elders

I'm trying to sort out how MLS determines where to place prospective elders. In reviewing our High Priests and Elders lists, I can't see a clear differentiation. I see multiple 19-year-old priests who are assigned to the High Priests and a couple of 20-year-old priests that show up in the Elders lis...

I have a problem: I added a calling in MLS to an organization and selected a member to fill that calling (standard calling). In MLS, the calling I just added disappeared. I added it again with the same member info. MLS is now tracking one calling however on LDS.org that same calling is listed twice...
