Re: Temple Recommend Status in Reports

We are currently working on a fix for this issue. There are units worldwide which issue temple recommends that are not tracked by Church headquarters. This is why members who have been endowed in the past may show up as having a current recommend, when that may not be the case (and the other way ar...

Re: Temple Recommend Status in Reports

Same problem here. In one of our wards, for example, in lds.org => Clerk Resources => Unit Statistics, the category Endowed with Recommend now has 105 people, including many people whose recommends have expired. At the same time, MLS => Membership => Recommends => View Recommends Active shows that t...

Re: MHT Project - Moving Meetinghouse Technology Content to

The great MLS installation and troubleshooting wikis are now inaccessible unless you already know the URL. For example: https://tech.lds.org/wiki/MLS_users https://tech.lds.org/wiki/Lost_user_names_(MLS) https://tech.lds.org/wiki/index.php/MLS_installation_and_repair#Restore_Dialer_Settings https://...

A related problem: I was setting up a computer for one of our Spanish branches and while I was able to change the language parameter from en to es, de, etc and save it successfully in a Win7 environment, when we run MLS it still displayes in English no matter what. And yes, MLS was not running whil...

Re: Quarterly Report - Sacrament Meeting Attendance

My ward has roughly 20+ pregnant women. The stake president has requested that we include the unborn children in our quarterly sacrament meeting count (which increases the attendance by about 10%). Holy cow! I hope he was joking. He's asking you to lie for money. It's theft. Why even bother with th...

Java 64bit vs 32bit

Hello, all. We've got new computers coming. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume that I should install the 32bit version of Java, regardless of whether the machine runs 32bit or 64bit Windows, because the commonly used Internet browsers are still 32bit. Does MLS rely on 32bit Java? Is there a 64bit...

Re: Is it possible/practical to upload webcasts using mifi?

The Church has a deal with Sprint for unlimited, high-upload-speed, cell-network-delivered Internet connectivity?

Is it possible/practical to upload webcasts using mifi?

Anyone have experience trying to upload a webcast over mifi? Our stake center is limited to a 0.6Mbps upload speed on DSL (no true Uverse available, cable service prohibitively expensive), so the video resolution is pretty bad. AT&T mifi supposedly has much faster upload speeds. Unfortunately, t...

It's done! Thank you very much!
