Re: Audio System Line out has distortion/clipping

The volume control may work. It depends on it's "taper" as to how fast it gets loud at the low end. The cable will probably work as long as HDSLR have the same mic connections as a computer. I'm not sure about that. Keep in mind the sound system audio out is strictly mono (tip and sleeve)...

Re: Audio System Line out has distortion/clipping

I'm guessing here but I wonder if I purchase an attenuator to reduce the volume from the sound system would be the solution? Yes, you need an attenuator. The sound system is line out, and it sounds like you're connecting it to a mic in. Glad to see I'm on the right track. Would something like this ...

Audio System Line out has distortion/clipping

Hi, everyone. Our region has been instructed to have a chapel meeting broadcast every Sunday. Yesterday was our first broadcast from the chapel. It went fine for a first time but there were a few issues with the audio. Here's my setup... I found the mono output under the Sacrament table that had bee...

Re: SSID Changing?

I have a much better password, however, than the one proposed. Easier to remember. Harder to type. Or, you could change the password to fit the one the Church is using. Then, all your church friends that come over will automatically be able to connect to your WiFi. They already do that. This will r...

Re: SSID Changing?

My problem is that if this information is correct and the change is going to happen, I think I will have to change the name of my home WiFi network, which is the same as the new one mentioned. I have a much better password, however, than the one proposed. Easier to remember. Harder to type. Or, you...

SSID Changing?

On the Orem YSA 2nd Stake Facebook Page news, they state: In keeping with Church guidelines regarding the correct use of the name of the Church, the "LDSAccess" wifi name is being discontinued. The new wifi credentials are: New church wifi name: Liahona New wifi password: REDACTED Please s...

Re: What is the 'Gospel Living' app? Where is it available?

Of course it's not required, but my kids already feel like they're the only ones in the world without a phone, and not having it available on safer devices won't help with that. You might be able to extract the APK file from an Android phone and side load it on to the Kindle fire tablet. Off topic....

How do the communications features work in the Gospel Living App

During the Face to Face, it was discussed that members could communicate with others in their classes and quorums via the app?
Does anyone know how that actually works?
Does it just send an email to everyone on the list or is it more of an instant messenger app?
Thanks!

Re: Cancelling An Expense

Once an expense has been approved by two people it is processed immediately. The two people are supposed to make sure that the bishop has verbally approved the expense before making their approvals. The bishop's approval is just a permanent record of his verbal approval and it doesn't delay the exp...
