Re: Hiding the sleeping choir members
For our next stake conference we are placing a camera on the back pew, just a little higher than the head of a seated person, which will completely remove all choir members from view when a speaker is at the pulpit. A second camera will be mounted 7 feet high in the corner of the overflow area which...

Webcast upload bandwidth requirements
Over the last couple of years, we have originated stake conference webcasts from 3 of our 4 bldgs with good success. We avoid the 4th bldg because the U-Verse internet connection is only 6mbps down/.94mbps up rate (measured on several occasions). Recently we did a 1.5hr test webcast from the 4th bld...

Re: Stake Conference Broadcasts - Rotating Buildings/Streami
We purchased a "Composite Video AV Adapter" (typically $15-$35) for the iPad which we use to connect the iPad to input #4 of the 4 input video mixer. With the iPad app "GoodReader" (which supports the "Composite Video AV adapter"), we loaded a landscape oriented TXT fil...

Re: Stake Conference Broadcasts - Rotating Buildings/Streami
We use a DataVideo SE-500 Video Switcher for mixing and the Osprey 230 card for encoding. The video also connects to the bldg's "camera input" located in the overflow area-which gets the video signal into several overflow rooms as well as the pulpit area for our choir and speaker monitors....

Re: Stake Conference Broadcasts - Rotating Buildings/Streami
We have broadcast from 3 different bldgs with good results. Where possible we prewired the bldg for 3 cameras using CAT5 for power, video, IR, and RS232 which allowed us to operate out of the satellite equip room. In one bldg we had to setup our control booth in the chapel overflow area. Attached is...

Re: Suggested TV's to support USB mp4 files
We have used the LG 24" LED HDTV Model 24MA31D-PU and the LG BP220 BluRay player. Both have USB playback and operate in a similar manner.

We tried several VGA to Composite converters and settled on the "StarTech VGA2VID" unit. It had the best picture quality of the units we tested. Getting the signal to various unwired rooms is not too difficult if the rooms have windows. Just temporarily run RG6 coax along the outside of the bldg. At...

Duplex printing can be done easily by setting up (ADD PRINTER in Windows ControlPanel) a second print driver for your printer whose properties are set for duplexing. Then, by renaming your first print driver to something like "HPLJ-SingleSided" and naming the second print driver "HPLJ-DoubleSided", ...
