Copy and Paste quarterly report data to Excel

Actually, you can just do a copy and a paste right into excel and the data comes across very nicely. It works fine, but forces you to paste each quarter into a separate worksheet within the workbook, which makes it impossible to do graphs against without manipulating the data. If I didn't have to ma...

Qt, PyQt and QtJambi open sourced

I'm very familiar with QT as well. I was not aware that they have an open source version for Windows. However if they do, I would second a vote for QT and/or PyQT. While at Linspire, we developed two major apps using Python and PyQT. Tom As of Qt-4.0, Qt was Open Sourced for Windows. When QtJambi, ...

...snip... Under Python, the best answer I have found is the WxPython toolkit. This is cross platform, but it also utilizes the standard windows GUI controls. ...snip... I plan on being as involved as possible with the development of the interface, to make sure that this doesn't become an issue. Ev...

Flex as a tool for building websites

Flex is a great tool to build Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), although I wouldn't say it's specifically for websites. It is being adopted quite heavily right now by huge organizations (SAP, IBM, etc.), which I think is indicative of where it's going. Flex is not made for animations and sprite ori...

Suggestion for LUWS plugin system

Given all of the discussion that has been going on surrounding Local Unit Web Sites (LUWS) and different unofficial websites, I think it would be great if the church could provide a plugin system for LUWS. The church could provide a testbed or test harness that could be used by developers to develop...

Query home teaching statistics...

I was talking to my Elder's Quorum President this week and he indicated that he really wanted to be able to generate additional home-teaching reports. I presume there is other data that isn't queryable as well, so perhaps a comprehensive list of the data that can't yet be queried should be examined ...

Querying Quarterly Reports

Hello, We would like to be able to query quarterly reports in some sort of orderly fashion so that we can generate some good graphs and statistics from them. With the improved copy/paste support, we can easily copy the information to a spreadsheet, like excel, but since the information is sheet (qua...

e-mail and other transmission methods...

Folks, I strongly believe that we should focus on data content. The method by which the data gets there is completely irrelevant. Just because the current policy doesn't specifically mention the manual entry of data, the end result is exactly the same. If uploading the data from MLS to a website is...
