Re: Report Recently Ordained to Melchizedek Priesthood

Is there specific wording to use when ratifying in Stake Conference? I know the Handbook has specific wording when sustaining a calling.

Converts not appearing

A ward in our stake had 2 recent converts in December 2017, but they aren't showing up in the Converts section of the quarterly report - not even as a potential. Their baptism and confirmation has been recorded. Is there something we need to do to enable that to show up on the report, or does it sou...

Re: Temple Recommend Books

You will need to contact Global Support. They asked us to send them a picture of the recommend book, the ward's unit name & number, and the date that the book was received. Good luck!

Temple Recommend Books

As stake clerks, we are in charge of activating temple recommends (renewals and living ordinances). We have tried to activate two living ordinance recommends (from the same ward) but every time we activate it we get this error message: "The recommend book for this recommend has been reported as...

Re: Missionary Recommendation System

The bishop doesn't even know who the member is. So to answer your question, no, the bishop has not completed the application. The application shows a different ward and stake as the submitting unit; however, the member is a part of our stake.

Missionary Recommendation System

In the Stake section of the Missionary Recommend System, we show a missionary application that we are unable to open. Usually there is an underlined link to be able to view their application, but we cannot see that. Why can't we view it? If we can't view it, how do we remove it from the system?

Time Between Temple Recommend Interviews

For a temple recommend renewal, is there a limited amount of time that a member has to have their recommend signed between their Bishop's interview and their Stake President's interview? I can't seem to find a policy outlining that in the Handbook, but a member of the stake presidency thinks there is.

Translator in Interviews

We have a couple preparing for their temple marriage in two weeks. The sister getting married does not speak English. When being interviewed by her bishop and stake president, is it appropriate to have a translator sit in? We are hesitant in this regard since interviews can sometimes sprout delicate...

Re: Setting Apart

Sorry, we're still not certain. I'm the Stake Clerk and have been asked to research who can participate in the setting apart of a new bishop. I have been told that members who have previously served as bishops can participate in the circle, but high priests who have not served as bishops cannot part...
