Re: Videonics MX-1 Video Mixer Tips and Tricks
We had this problem (video off/on flashing) and followed numerous suggestions here and around the web adjusting settings, upgrading the power supply, etc. and none of them worked. After continuous testing we found that there had to be some kind of difference in regards to the sync signals of the var...

Key Records, Tracking Keys
TRACKING KEYS ISSUED: We use a form that takes into account the individual keys issued along with responsibilities from the handbook. One thing you need to do is be sure to stamp each key with a unique ID# so in the future when a loose key is found you can easily identify whom it was assigned to. E...

Increased DHCP Range worked well.. Even used Roku streaming priesthood on Internet
Just thought I'd give some feedback with the increased DHCP ranges. NO PROBLEMS, even with the Smart Phones auto-connecting. This was music to my ears... :) We even streamed the Priesthood Session over our Internet connection using Roku connected to the church sound system and projected on a large s...

We had a similar problem at a couple of our buildings. The first ward gobbled up the IPs and when the second ward arrived none were available, even if many of the first ward members had already left the building. Smartphones love to auto-connect to WIFI when they see it to save on data package tran...

Can MLS be run on 2 Ward Computers to Update Records at the Same Time
I've been reading some comments about installing MLS on more than one computer in a Ward to use at the same time. I've read that MLS can be run on the Web but basically only for printing reports and the such. The problem is that many auxiliaries want to use MLS to update data while the Ward Clerks a...

Card Access instead of Physical Keys for Building Entry
I'm in charge of all of the keys (physical) for our meetinghouse. Prior to me having this assignment it appears as if there was no record as to who had been given a key. This has caused a substantial problem as we have a ton of keys floating . I'd love to just rekey the outside entry doors and switc...

DSL too slow for remote building location, Need good alternative
We recently installed a complete Internet network (WIFI & Hardwired) in a remote building in a more rural location. Pretty blue sky and open fields but we discovered a drawback by being so far off the beaten path. There is no cable service in the area so we were forced to use DSL. The problem with D...

From Michigan we always show a much slower connection speed using speedtest.lds.org . With a local speed test of 16Mbps followed by a speed test to lds.org only shows a download speed of around 4Mbps. If we have a slower local connection, the church is almost proportionally slower as well. On Sunday...

881W Rack Mounting Ears
Does anyone know if the 881w firewall/router has an available rack mounting kit (ears)? If so what would be the part number for these ears? We are mounting the 881w in a steel network cabinet along with the switches and surge protector and want to avoid having it sit on the bottom of the cabinet.

How sensitive is the Videonics MX-1 mixer when it comes to Video Input signals
I think a couple of us have raised this issue - how is the signal being split? Are all the devices involved intended to be used this way? If done wrong, you could end up with a weaker signal. MX-1 from Grandtec.jpg I've connected the Grandtec GXP-2000 exactly as the manufacturer instructed ( see ph...
