...just a suggestion. Perhaps you could borrow a different (hopefully better) scan converter and test it. If the problem goes away, consider upgrading the scan converter. What would be better scan convertor than this unit? ( On the cheap of course our current setup has 2 computers feeding the MX-1 ...

I took the suggestions of trying different internal settings in the Advanced menu of the MX-1 without success. I also tried to change the monitor settings to all 60Hz settings to no avail. I appreciate the suggestions; keep them coming.... The picture still flashes on the output from the Grandtech v...

Tried a another test today. Failed again even with the "1" added under the unlocked padlock in the advanced setting. The MX-1 output still wants to flash. It does seem that the flashing is when I'm switching to a computer input feed rather than a camera. The computer output signal to the MX-1 is ma...

Tech Crew Communications during live production

I've been impressed with the knowledge in this forum, hopefully someone here can steer me in the right direction. This is something I've always wanted to find a better way to do. Currently I've been using hand signals, but this only works if the crew member you wish to communicate is watching when I...

Videonics MX-1 Video Mixer --- Flashing Video Output

I'm hoping someone out there is familiar with the Videonics MX-1 video mixer and can tell me how to fix a big problem I'm having. We can transition from camera to camera fine but erratically the video output will flash from intended image to black and keeps doing this. If it did all the time I migh...

You would do this by putting the clerk's PCs on with a static IP address. The issue become the potential management of it, because to change the IP address or any settings on the network controller, you would have to go to each computer and do it manually. The only way to priorities the hard wired ...

Our Stake has decided to give the WIFI password to any member that requests it. The thought was that members should be able to download scriptures, manuals and other church apps. We've found that most access seems to be on Sunday during class for lesson material. Occasionally someone checks their e-...

Wow, years ago when I was a missionary we often rented basement rooms from members. My companion and I each paid $200 a month (total $400). I hope I'm not dating myself too much but we were able to negotiate our rent, etc. Today with all missionaries paying the same it would have cost me a lot more ...

Do you know which VOIP service your buildings are using? How has the cost been impacted as a result of the VOIP service? I think my FM group w...

I agree that the FM group tends to take the lead on this one. In my stake I've been asked to head up the team that is installing Internet services in all of our buildings. Our plan is hardwired drops in areas such as: Bishop & Clerk offices, 3 drops in chapel (pulpit controls, front of rostrum, rear...
